Okay, so I just read this b/c you linked to it in today's post ... and ohmygosh! I had no idea. Girl, you are one lucky blessed woman to be alive it sounds like. I'm happy your diabetes is under control, what a scary way to find out. Along w/ the other illnesses. I realize it's been over a year, but you're in my prayers for staying healthy and nothing like this happening again!!!

Wow! What a lot to go through in such a short time. Glad you are doing better and that the diabetes is under control. My daughter is diabetic (type 1) and that's pretty much how we found out with her. We were on vacation out of state when we had to bring her in to the emergency room. She was in DKA and her blood sugar was in the 540s. Quite the shock, as it was for you I'm sure.

So glad you updated. Have been wondering what was going on.. remembering you in my prayers.
My sister has Shingles. They told her it could be part of the -shock- stress of our mom passing away combined with other stess. She has been in agony with them and luckily only had 2 of the spots.
I didn't know they had a vaccine and am now seriously considering it.
