So Here's The Thing...

I promised I would be back to blogging in the new year and here we are January 20 and I am just now getting to it.

I admit, guilt is what is driving me.

Why do I feel so guilty about NOT blogging?

It's totally cray cray.

*le sigh*

I was kind of rocking on my regular posts on the private blog. I was doing really well...but I have so much to catch up on there too.

The truth is, I am so HAPPY and BUSY that I just can't make the time.

I love my blogging friends and followers.

I feel like I am letting everyone down. It is a terrible feeling.

My blog started as a place to journal my life and brag about my amazing husband and super cute kid.

Then it changed.

It became a place where other bloggers connected.

I love hosting the link parties...but I am going to pass them on to other people to host.

I want to go back to blogging when I feel like it and not because it is Tuesday, or Wednesday or Friday.

I want to brag about my amazing husband, super cute kidS and my darling chiweenie Coco.

I don't want to feel bad if I take a few days or a week or even a month off.

Because then it is no fun.

I also want to get back to hosting FUN swaps...I miss Good Mail.

I want to go back to the FUN stuff...

The no pressure stuff.

So I am going to, I hope you will still come by and say hello.

I am also hoping to carve out more time to do a little blog jogging myself.

In the meantime here is my regular view lately...pretty sweet right?

Well good for you that you can say "enough" or "no" that is something I am trying to do this year as well. SO good to catch up quickly. Look forward to dropping by when you post.

I don't think you're the only one who has let blogging kind of go by the wayside. I went from blogging everyday to hardly at all lately. Not sure really why!

Nice to see you back. And really, if you don't fell the blogging urge, it's hard to do it. Do what moves you.
Congrats on the new view. Looks like you have lot to love!

I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering where you've been and what you've been up, I know! CONGRATS!!! So thrilled for you and your family! Just blog when you feel like it...and throw guilt to the wind!

Don't feel guilty for not blogging because you have a life! Blog when you can and when you want to. After not bloggin for almost a year that's what I've decided. It's no fun if you put pressure on yourself to do it. Enjoy that family!

I'd like to see a consistent blogger 24/7...then I like to think they have no family and no kids and lots of cats. I'd be a blogger 24/7 if that were me!
I hear ya no pressure...what's with the pressure!! I went private and haven't put a post out since LOL.
Do your thang mamma!!
Congrats on your babies!!

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHH what!?!? I am just so happy for you guys! Also, can I have access to your private blog?

Kenzie Smith said...

CONGRATULATIONS!! Don't feel guilty - you have a wonderful, and totally cute, family to attend to! That is so much more important :) Take time and focus on you guys - that's what matters. We'll still be here when you post, don't worry.
If you need any volunteers for hosting the link ups, just let me know. I would be more than happy to help out.

Don't feel guilty.
It's not a big deal...unless you are just getting paid to blog now and refuse to visit other bloggers because you're crap don't stink, then THAT would suck. But that's not the case with you.

hi sweet baby boy! Hope you're able to give details about him soon!

Congrats on the adorable baby boy. I never requested access to your private blog; didn't want to feel like I was intruding. I understand how you feel about blogging. I often wonder how a consistent blogger balances everything because in all honesty, I suck at it. I oftentimes join linkys to get a bit more exposure. I am so wishy-washy when it comes to my blog... Welcome back and can't wait to hear more whenever you post it.

Hey, miss ya, but I will take what I can get. :)
Besides, chubby faces are just far too fascinating to tear yourself away from.

I have seen all of the super cute pics of your sweet little blue-eyed boy! SO happy for you and your family. I really would love to follow your private blog... is that possible??? Enjoy yourself girl and don't fret about the blog! It's ok.

Yay you! Of course we miss you but not having you here as often will make us anticipate your upcoming posts even more and make them very special. :) Enjoy your life.. This is it.. This moment..

I think you are making exactly the right decision. Good on you. If you do host a swap, would you consider including one geographically misplaced foreigner?

Lisa Thomas said...

I'm pretty sure your opinion is one shared by MANY women right now! I know that I am in the same boat. I'm LOVING your facebook posts and your fun pictures! :) Glad there's other ways to keep up! :)

I hope you are enjoying your new freedom!

When I first decided to change the direction of my blog, I really struggled with the guilt. When I moved to Urban Earthworm I had a lot of moments of really wanting to write random personal posts. Sadly, given my stalkers, I just can't do that anymore.

Good on you for recognizing what you want!

KrysTros said...

I know what you mean by life getting so busy! And please don't apologize for wanting to slow things down and just wanting to return to the simple days of blogging. I think we all get a little like that. I, too, have been so busy this past year that I have only blogged about 6 times in 13 months. Life gets busy! We are going through the adoption process and I don't even want to leave the house because I am waiting for the agency to call me! Good look with your wonderful family!
