I Confess...I LOVE Them!

Photobucket

I Confess...

I LOVE being an Auntie. I mean I REALLY love it. I always love any time I get with my nieces and nephews. So when Zachary(11) and Brock(8) asked if they could come over and play the other day Big Daddy and I went to pick them up. We spent a good long time out on the patio, spitting sunflower seeds and chasing the sprinkler.
Photobucket

They were in HEAVEN. Yes, really...spitting sunflower seeds and chasing the sprinkler.

I Confess...

Brock got hit by the sprinkler and got his shirt wet, like really wet. So we told him to take it off and lay it on the slide to dry out.

I Confess...

When he took off his shirt I just about died laughing...because I saw this on his belly.
Photobucket

I Confess...

When I asked him about it he shrugged his shoulders and said, "Truth or Dare. No questions.

I Confess...

Then I really died laughing. Hilarious!!

I Confess...

The boys asked if I had any parachute men to play with. I usually have them on hand, but I wasn't sure so I said I would check. When I found that I did and handed to them they actually cheered and gave me BIG hugs.

Over parachute men.

They then spent the next few hours playing with them. Making different contraptions to make them go higher, or faster, or slower...HOURS!
BnZparachutes600

I Confess...

I REALLY love that this day of fun didn't require batteries. That imaginations were used. That laughter happened. That memories were made.

I Confess...

I also love that when one of the parachute men got stuck in a tree that Zachary followed my advice to use his shoe to knock it down.

I Confess...

It was bad advice. The shoe got stuck.

Then my dad and Big Daddy used a variety of methods to get the shoe and parachute guy down.

Hilarity ensued. More laughter, imagination and memories were made.

So, what are you confessing this week?

YOU Want to Know WWTK wk60

Welcome to We Want to Know Wednesdays Q&A
Hosted by Mamarazzi and Crazymama
null

Are you on the weekly mailing list for the questions ahead of time? They usually go out on Monday, so you can schedule your post. Cool right? Let me know if you would like to be added.

Things are still a little cray cray around here so I decided it was time to break out some of YOUR questions:

Scriptor @ http://allstarme.wordpress.com wants to know:
{one}Hmm, I’d love to know how many tattoos our readers/bloggers have and if they don’t, do they want one and of what?
Jenn @ http://joshandjennhaas.blogspot.com wants to know:
{two}What is the best present you ever received?
Chelsea @ http://createinspirejournal.blogspot.com wants to know:
{three}Tall dark and handsome or pretty boys?
Jo @ http://willthekidsturnoutok.blogspot.com wants to know:
{four}How did you meet your significant other?
Mamarazzi and Crazymama  want to know:
{five}OK..YOUR turn, what question your you like to see featured on a future WWTK?

Here are MY answers. I am looking forward to getting around and reading yours.

Scriptor @ http://allstarme.wordpress.com wants to know:
{one} Hmm, I’d love to know how many tattoos our readers/bloggers have and if they don’t, do they want one and of what?
Nope, no tattoos here.

Jenn @ http://joshandjennhaas.blogspot.com wants to know:
{two}What is the best present you ever received?
Coco. Hands down. I was not in the market for a dog or a pet of any kind really. So when Big Daddy told me a friend on Facebook was giving away Chiweenie puppies I wasn't sure I wanted to do the whole potty training puppy thing. I am sooooo GLAD that Big Daddy insisted. She is the greatest gift of my life. Truly a blessing and I am thankful for her everyday!

Chelsea @ http://createinspirejournal.blogspot.com wants to know:
{three}Tall dark and handsome or pretty boys?
I like my frosty beverages Tall Dark and Handsome...Diet Pepsi, my lover. The men in my life have varied. I have never been attracted to men who spend more time getting ready for the day. So I like a manly kind of man, who smells good and takes care of himself, but uses fewer beauty products than I do. Does that even make sense?

Jo @ http://willthekidsturnoutok.blogspot.com wants to know:
{four}How did you meet your significant other?
We met on a dating website. Yes, really. He knew I was the one right away. I needed to date around a little longer. So we broke up but remained friends. I was praying about a marriage proposal from another guy and kept hearing Big Daddy's name. THEN I heard the song "I Can't Fight This Feeling" from REO Speedwagon and realized that I was suppose to marry Big Daddy. My mom asked me about the other marriage proposal and what I was going to do and I told her what I had realized. She called my dad over and told me to tell him. My dad jumped up and said, "I knew it!" So apparently EVERYONE knew Big Daddy was THE ONE except for me. Two days later I basically asked Big Daddy to marry me and he said, "It's about time! What took you so long?" We were married like 4 months later and it has most def been the best decision of my life.

Happy and Smiling About It!

Photobucket

One the TIPPY TOP of my Happy List this week is THIS GUY...we have had so much fun lately. I mean we always have fun but he took some time off and it was just nice having him around so much. Coco is having a hard time adjusting to normal life again and won't stop complaining about how much she misses Big Daddy...I would never complain but Coco never stops ;)

Photobucket

Having J home was great.  Poor kid is in the middle of her hormonal teen years, teenagers are so hard. I think it was hard for her to be away from her friends but we are glad that she made the choice to come spend a little time with us. It was too short of a visit for us, but we are hoping that before the Summer is over she will grace us with her presence again. It is so weird not having her living with us full time. I doubt we will ever get use to it.

Photobucket

Time with my SISTERS!! Meg was here from Arkansas for two weeks, it was great to see her and spend time with her adorable babies!! OH and her hubz Aaron came for a week too, we really enjoyed spending time with him, it had been forever!

Photobucket

Aaron and Meg took a night away while they were here to celebrate their anniversary. The girls came and spent the night with us and their brother stayed with my folks. On the girl's summer bucket list was "Have a Tea Party at Auntie's House" So we did. How cute are these two?

Photobucket

Speaking of Summer Bucket Lists, they also had make S'mores. We love using out fire pit so we had the WHOLE family over for some toasted marshmallow goodness!! (that is Meg's husband smiling in the background. I think this is Aaron's first appearance on Dandelion Wishes)

Photobucket

We had TWO funfilled days at Gilroy Gardens. We bought my sister Amy's boys Season passes for Christmas so they used their passes on one day to get their cousins in. It was a lot of fun. My folks went and the weather was perfect both days and I just love that place.

Photobucket

Big Daddy even called in to work so he could come play with us. Watching him with these kids makes my heart smile. He is such an amazing Uncle. From going on all of the rides, to making our nephews baseball and basket ball games, to being a human jungle gym, to playing the Peanut Butter and Jelly Game...he is just super RAD! And we still have Camp Vasquez in our near future!!

Photobucket

Coco LOVED having so many people around to spoil her rotten. She really is the best little dog ever. SO patient letting the girls change her outfit a million times and letting them carry her around...all for kisses, even from Aunt Meg, who will go on record saying Coco is the ONLY dog she loves!

Photobucket

Even if ALL that playing tired her and everyone else out, worth it!

Photobucket

So yeah, this is a whole lot of HAPPY and soooo many things to smile about. But let me end with some serious cuteness, as if this whole post was not totally adorable right? Check out these two. We went to the movie. Everyone needs to wear fairy wings, sequinned hats and BIG sunglasses to the movies, right?

Photobucket

Today I merged my Happy List with Ten Things to Smile about at EmmyMom's place.

So what is on YOUR Happy List this week? Grab a button and link it up!!

OH and PS...I swear i own more than that one RED shirt. We were just picture happy that day so that is what I have pics of me in.

The Skinny From a Curvy Girl

Creative Bioscience is a well known health and wellness company that is offering my readers a chance to try one of their groundbreaking weight loss, energy, or cleanse products for FREE!

The only catch is that I need to try the product first.

Well, because I care about my devoted readership and want the very best for all of you I will eagerly accept this challenge!

Oh, sure there is the possible weight loss in it for me too, but you know me, TOTALLY unselfish.

What? Stop laughing. And Pointing.

Anyway...

I have decided to try the hCG Zero Capsule diet.  I will follow the program for 90 days. During that time I will be keeping you updated on my progress.  Following the end of the 90 day period I will hold a drawing and 5 of my loyal followers will be given a chance to do their own 90 day challenge.

Absolutely free!

This is not one of those “Free” sample offers where you are required to pay shipping and handling or sign up for automatic shipping of future orders. Creative Bioscience is interested in getting their products out to as many deserving people as possible.

I will admit, as soon as I was presented with this unbelievable offer I was skeptical.  I did some homework and found that Creative Bioscience, which is located in Murray, Utah, has an A- rating with the Better Business Bureau and lists no complaints for the last 3 years.

Creative Bioscience is already sold in many reputable stores including Walgreens, Wal-Mart, GNC, Costco and The Vitamin Shoppe.  Creative Bioscience is expanding its online reach and as such is also offering interested bloggers a chance at the same 90 day challenge I am participating in. Just go to 90 Day Blogger Challenge for more information.

I encourage my readers to click on the links, go check out Creative Bioscience and read about their incredible products.  Keep checking back here to see my progress on their program and get information on how you can win your very own 90 day product sample!

I Confess...I'm Overbooked!

Photobucket

Before I begin, I need to say a HUGE thank you to the adorable Aubrey@High-Heeled Love  for hosting Friday Confessional for me while I took my little bloggy break. You rock Aubrey!! I am happy to be back and cannot wait to catch up with everyone.

I Confess...

My life is kind of a mess right now.

It's a GOOD mess, a BUSY mess, but a mess just the same. Kind of.

I feel like I am running a million miles a minute trying to get the finishing details taken care of for my preschool so I can enroll it.

I Confess...

I forgot how many little things needed to be done...enrollment packets, assessments, workbooks, advertising, blah blah blah.

And I am STRESSED, because I cannot find the right chairs that are the right height for the right price.

I have stools but they just don't seem sturdy enough for me and I am a mess worrying that a kid will fall off of them.

ANYWAY...I am a little overwhelmed. School starts in August. I need to have it enrolled before I leave for MiMyMa on the Oregon Coast at the end of July.

I Confess...

I am sooooo looking forward to a little vacation.

MiMyMa cannot come soon enough.

Seeing Myya and MiMi's updates on Facebook updates of their Awesome Girls trip makes me even more excited to see them again.

We had such an amazing time last Summer and I cannot wait to bask in their awesomeness!!

I Confess...

I haven't visited everyone who linked up for WWTK this week.

But I plan to do it as soon as I finish this post.

That is 30 minutes late.

Because my life is a mess right now.

Kind of.

What are you confessing this week? I cannot wait to read all about it!!

One for ME and One for YOU!

This post brought to you by éclos Skin Care. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have been given a really cool opportunity to sample some skin care.
I love trying new things and when it comes to skin care I am kind of picky, because my skin is picky and quite frankly seems to have a mind of its own.
éclos Skin Care  is sending me a trial set and is sending me one to give to one of Dandelion Wishes' loyal readers.
SUHWEET...right?
éclos features Apple Stem Cells extracted from a rare Swiss apple which have shown tremendous ability to stimulate skin stem cells, encouraging aging skin to behave like younger skin.
YES! Please.
Plant extracts, vitamins and anti-oxidants combine with the Apple Stem Cell technology to help minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and tired skin.
Similar products were once only available from specialty brands at department stores with a high price tag to match.
Mama does not have the extra cash for fancy skin care. BUT...
éclos is the first brand to bring this active ingredient to mainstream stores at a fraction of the cost- making beautiful and younger skin available to women everywhere.
AWESOME!
So now I will have the chance to try the éclos Anti-Aging Skin Care Starter Kit containing sample sizes of their complete product line.
The kit is valued at $19.99 that includes one of each of the following:
• Facial Cleanser Skin Prep
• Cellular Activator Face Serum
• Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream
• Restorative Eye Cream
• Instant Radiance Facial Scrub
• Skin Renewal Clay Mask
• éclos Terry Cloth Head Band
And like I said I am being  given an identical kit to give away to one of me readers.
LOVE it. I cannot wait to try it and tell you what I think AND share the goodness with one of YOU!!!

Summertime...WWTK wk59

Welcome to We Want to Know Wednesdays Q&A
Hosted by Mamarazzi and Crazymama
null

My FABULOUS co-host Crazymama is asking the questions this week here is what she sent me:

Let's talk summer. Ours is in full swing and the temps are rising (we got up to 114 on a few days already) So this weeks questions are about keeping cool and other summer delights.

(1) What is the usual summer high temperature where you live?
(2) How do you keep cool? Do you have central air?
(3) Do you swim? If you get in the water do you get your hair and make-up wet?
(4) What is your favorite summer look? As far as outfit , shoe choice and hairstyle? (Pics are rad or just describe it.) Do you wear less make-up in the summer?
(5) What is your favorite summer meal to make or eat, either way? (Score extra cool points for a recipe.)

I can't wait to hear if i'm the only one living in hades and the only fat girl swimming.

Oh my goodness I love Crazymama!! Here are MY answers, I cannot wait to hop around and visit everyone, I have REALLY missed you!!!

(1) What is the usual summer high temperature where you live?
The crazy high is only 97*. I say only because I lived in the Central Valley aka HELL for about 5 yrs and I am sure I would have never survived there without my AC and pool...it was in the 100s + most of the Summer into September/October. Here in my NEW town it rarely gets hot and if it does the coastal fog rolls in at night and cools everything down.

(2) How do you keep cool? Do you have central air?
We leave everything open all night and close it up in the morning and the house stays really cool. We have AC but rarely run it. We ran it for a couple hours the other day when it was 98* and I had a migraine so wasn't feeling like being hot AND grumpy.

(3) Do you swim? If you get in the water do you get your hair and make-up wet?
I never imagined I would miss having a pool so much. I use to spend all day floating in it just keeping cool. And YES, the hair and make-up got wet. (See Crazymama you are not the only fat girl swimming). I use to tell people that were welcome to swim in my pool AND "enjoy the view" cuz this mama doesn't hide her curves!

(4) What is your favorite summer look? As far as outfit , shoe choice and hairstyle?  Do you wear less make-up in the summer?
I am all about short skirts and tee shirts in the Summer... have fabulous legs! I rock the flip flop and I have been wearing my hair curly because it is too long to blow dry straight when it is hot. I need to cut it, I wanted to grow it out but every time it gets to this length it is Summer and I can't stand it so I chop it all off and feel sad. So far, i survive by throwing it up on my head. But really I need my hair around my face, so I hate wearing it up.

OH funny story, my sister Meg was here for 2 weeks and one day I wore a pony tail and she said, "I don't think I have ever seen you in a pony tail, it is kind of rocking my world right now" She did NOT say it looked cute so I am pretty sure it is as horrible as I think it is. But Meg says it like it is, even if it hurts feelings....so I didn't ask her to clarify.

I also try to get away with as little make-up as possible.

(5) What is your favorite summer meal to make or eat, either way?
I am all about watermelon, cantelope and cold grapes. Fruit is a must on hot days. I also love love love corn on the cob and grilled salmon. OH and tomatoes with fresh mozzarella, basil and balsamic vinegar...YUM!!

I know this isn't food but have y'all tried the sugar free mango Slurpee @ 7-eleven? Deeeelicious!!

Road Trip Anyone?

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of PA Tourism for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Without a doubt our family’s favorite vacation style roadtrips.

We make the best of every minute we spend together in the car.

We find that when we go anywhere in our car we have the best conversations and are able to clearly define our families goals and set a course to achieve them.

Now, we love to roadtrip around our local area and up to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Big Daddy and I both grew up in Northern Califotnia so we both have strong ties to the area and know it pretty well.

Getting around has never been a problem for us.

What happens when you visit unfamiliar places?

It is best to have along with you a local who knows the area, where to eat, where to stay and what sites are not to be missed.

Now there is a local companion for us all in Pennsylvania!

pa-roadtrips

Roadtrip-a-Matic is your local companion to take you on the most unforgettable trip through Pennsylvania.

Whether you want to enjoy historic sites, fine dining, or shopping, you can get the inside track by using the Roadtrip-a-Matic!

I looked at the options and was amazed!

There is a trip to fit everyone’s interests.

When we go anywhere we like to sample the local flavors and hit some local stores and markets.

A quick browse of the Roadtrip-a-Matic and we found several packages that met each of those criteria!

I can see myself enjoying shopping at some quaint little shop on main street while Big Daddy plans an afternoon visit to a historic battlefield.

After we can find the locals choice in regional cuisine.

All of this by just clicking on pa-roadtrips.

Go see for yourself, browse through the wide variety of offers and decide which one you will make your next roadtrip!

Easy Breakfast? Yes, Please!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Quaker Oats for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have lamented many times on this blog how hard it is for me to eat breakfast.

I just can't wrap my brain around food in the morning.

I KNOW that breakfast is THE most important meal of the day.

And really, on the days that I do eat breakfast I can feel an overall difference in how i feel...and it is GOOD.

But I know myself and and I know that unless I don't have to think about it, it just is not gonna happen.

So when I heard about the yummy-ness that is NEW Quaker Soft Baked Bars I got a little excited.

Quaker Soft Baked Bars help provide the FUEL you need with the FLAVOR you want!

This new snack bar from Quaker is made with real fruits and nuts that you can eat on-the-go OR warm up in the microwave for a real bakery experience.

Mmmm warmed up in the microwave for a REAL bakery experience.

I can't help myself it sounds like cookies for a breakfast snack. Now THAT is an idea I can get behind.

This great snack can get you through until your next meal and comes in two delicious flavors:

• Cinnamon Pecan Bread
• Banana Nut Bread

I have a real weakness for all things Cinnamon so I know that I would really dig the Cinnamon Pecan Bread.

QSBB Yum Image high res.jpg

These treats aren't just tasty, but are packed with:
• 140 calories
• 5g of Fiber
• 6g of Protein
• Excellent source of 5 B-Vitamins

This is a perfect addition to my family snack jars. I would love for my kid to reach for this wholesome food source.

Breakfast on the go is a real thing around here some days, I know J will LOVE these on those mornings when she thinks she needs sleep over a sit down breakfast.
