This week she wants us to list...
10 Most Annoying Sounds.
1. Fingernail clippers...that snap snap snap they make *cringes*
2. The doorbell...makes Coco bark, she doesn't know she is a dog, I want to keep her that way.
3. High pitched screaming...I love when kids laugh and have a good time, but the squeal/scream
kills me, only children can make that shrill of a sound, nothing else compares.
4. Mocking Birds...we have one in our neighborhood that starts mocking different alarm clocks at 5am.
5. Loud Cell Phone Talkers...we are in a restaurant/movie/market/anywhere.
Shut your yapper, I am not interested in your conversation, yeah, really.
6. Neighbor's Yapping Dog...All. The. Time. Really, it never stops.
7. Static on the Radio...but I also hate when Big Daddy does the scan/search thing too, I am never happy, just put on a CD (but make it music I like).
8. Loud Motorcycles...I don't get it.
9. Yummy Noises...those smack/chew/nom nom nom/slurp sounds that people make
while eating. Grosses me out.
10. Snoring...this rarely happens in our house but I am a really light sleeper and
when it happens...no sleep for me.

Sometimes my own dogs drive me crazy with their barking! Every single time someone drives or walks by or they see a rabbit in the yard!

Loud cell phone talkers especially on the bus has to be on the list of annoying sounds.
Mockingbirds can sing so beautifully but you are right boy do they have an annoying alternative! Fun list!
Yeah, I agree with all of yours! the more lists I read the longer my own list gets... am starting to wonder if I jut annoy too easily... but mostly I think that it's everyone else who's annoying!
Yes yes yes! You hit some major ones for me too. The yappy dog, the snoring (I don't sleep either) and the cell phone talker. I can't stand being able to hear the person they are talking to as well! SERIOUSLY?! Might as well just put them on speaker phone or get some friggin hearing aids!
This is an awesome list idea! I can't stand yappy dogs. We have a dog in our neighborhood that barks all day and all night - drives me bonkers! I don't know how the owners put up with it.
Rude cell phone users make me CRAZY!
oh man #1 on my list is the man sniff. You know...guys are too lazy to go get a kleenex and freaking blow their nose, so they just do a loud sniff every 15 seconds. We had a sniffer behind us in church yesterday and I had to get up and leave, because it was either that our turn around, hold a tissue up to his face (like a 2 yr old) and say, "blow". Or punch him in the face, because it is that annoying of a sound.
Yapping dogs are the worst. irresponsible pet owners should be punished.
LOL- yes! I used to hate the mockingbirds by my house in San Diego- they were so very annoying. And even Fedora agrees that loud motorcycles are ridiculously stupid (and don't affect performance at all, they are literally just the drama queen divas of the motorcycle world).
Oh my goodness ... the high pitched screaming kills me! My nephew likes to do it for no good reason - potentially though, to see me cringe!

I am so conscious of talking on my cell phone in public that I have been told I sound rude by the person I'm talking to. Wow...that was a mouthful and did it make any sense at all?!?!? ;P
That high pitched screeching kids do makes me nuts. It's the worst when we're in the car!
My daughter has always been a high-pitched squealer. From the time she was about 2 months old, to her present three-year-old self. I've gotten used to it.
Hubs' snoring, on the other hand, I have been putting up with for over a decade and it still drives me absolutely BONKERS. Go figure!
Finger/toe nail clipping noises push me over the edge.
Static drives me NUTS! Especially when I am being pelted by toenail clippings. :) Ellen
Mocking birds, yes! That was actually on my original list. They go through six birds then repeat. HATE.

I think you pretty much covered all of the noises that annoy me. The only one I can add is 'that woman' who has to cackle like a loon constantly in a public restaurant. I mean, is everything your friends say that hysterical? Cute topic though.

My baby has just started trying out the high pitched scream - not cool. At all.
I always wonder if I'm like a dog in that I always feel like my ears are going to bleed with the squealy kids. LOL
My dog is a barker! It must be the breed (mini schnauzer),but she drives us crazy! When we were on vacation and she bunked at my mom's house she had nothing to bark at and when she came back home she didn't bark for DAYS! It was heavenly! We keep threatening to send her back to Nana bootcamp!
