We went through the whole process on our old county and got to the final step of getting our home licensed and couldn't pass the home inspection because our pool wasn't properly enclosed.
We were renting the home Big Daddy grew up in from his folk's and they weren't able/willing to put the money into fencing the pool to meet the state of California's requirements.
It was then that we decided that we needed to move and we started working towards making that happen.
Now that we are settled in here in our new home we are excited to start all over and get us some kids!
I am going to journal our journey to adding to our family on a private blog.
The adorable and VERY talented Vanessa @ A Randomlicious Blog for the Soul is creating the blog design and it is amazeballs so far.
I am keeping the blog private so I can actually post pictures of the kids we will have in our home.
Our plan is to adopt, but we are also hoping to help a few kids who need a temporary home along the way so we need to be careful about what we put out there on line.
OH and our pseudo names on the new blog are Boo and Honey.
Cute right?!
The title of the blog is "JOY in Our JOurneY"...all because of Our Dandelion Wishes.
Did you know that the whole title Dandelion Wishes is because we use all of our birthday, penny in a fountain, falling star and dandelion wishes on adding to our family?
Yep, it's true...that's the story behind the title...so it makes sense that "all because of Our Dandelion Wishes" is the tag line for JOY in Our JOurneY
Anyway. Once the blog is up and running I will share some screen shots with y'all.
If you want to follow our journey then let me know and I will send ya an invite.
We are pretty excited. All signs have been pointing to YES ever since we made the decision to move here.
Feeling overwhelmingly blessed right now.
PS EVERY time I see this I bawl like a baby. You?

So so happy and excited for you!! I hope it is a good happy experience-- I was on the other side of it-kind of- as I was a foster care worker for DCFS and know how important great families are- but it is going to be a roller coaster but you and your husband will be perfect!!!
I would love love an invite.

Yay! So excited for you! You know i want in. I was /am considering doing foster care too. Because i'm not crazy enough butt those poor sweet kiddos in the system need some stable unconditional love. And i love babies. We'll see if i get my crap in order to do it.
I havewas lots of friends who have grown their families that way. One has 3 from foster adopt and one has adopted 8 and is fostering #9. Another has 6. Seriously amazing. You would be awesome! Fingers crossed. Hugs lady!
This sounds like an amazing journey. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I would love to follow your journey.

I actually have to leave the room when coworkers bring their babies in, because I start tearing up! That commercial is dangerous. :P
I'd love an invite, to follow your journey!
this is so exciting and of course I want an invite!
ps have you ever googled youtube videos of "gotcha day"??? Parents make videos of the moment they meet the children they are adopting. You'll bawl, be filled with hope and faith and be more dedicated to the process. Watch some, they're amazing!
Amazing! :) I would love to follow along with your story, if you'd let me. :) tinycandi@gmail.com
Haha....you should just make your blog public!
I hope I get an invite!
I am really excited for you guys! A couple friends of mine are going through the same new journey and it's so exciting!!
P.S. I didn't watch that video cause I'm a huge sap and I don't feel like crying...
Good luck! I would love an invite to read about your adoption journey! I think I told you already, but we adopted our son through the foster program. It's stressful and there was some heart ache, but it was worth it in the end!
First off, that is one of my favorite commercials!
Secondly, there are going to be so many lives touched by you and Big Daddy - I can just feel it. You love and care with your whole heart, and I know that these little souls will benefit from that.
I cannot wait to see how the next chapter unfolds ... and of course I'd love to follow along, if that's okay with you :0)
I am so excited for you!! My brother and his wife are going through the adoption process right now. I know how frustrating it can be when you go through all the steps just to have to start all over again. I wish you and Big Daddy the very best of luck. I would also lover to read the new blog. Best wishes!!
How exciting! I'm so happy for you and Boo ;) If you don't mind, I'd love to follow your journey (as toootally cheesy as it sounds!)
Adoption is amazing!! My boyfriend and his 4 brothers were all adopted by the same family and were all over the age of 10 when they were adopted!
I know that I have not been around much but I am back for good and i would love to be invited to your newest blog.
I am so excited for you and your family...you will be an amazing parent/foster parent. You have so much to give!
Love you girl!
Oh, I am so happy for you!!!!! What joy the two of you will be bringing to children.
Sorry I have been absent as of late... LOTS of life going on in my world, not much blogging time.
SOOO excited for you and your journey! Would love to follow along with you!
