Welcome to We Want to Know Wednesdays Q&A

Yours truly, Mamarazzi, is asking the questions this week, and I want to talk about LOVE...
{1} How was your Valentine's Day?
{2} What is your favorite flower? Did your honey get them for you?
{3} Was Valentine's Day a big deal when you were a kid?
{4} Did you put up any Valentine's Day decorations? (bonus points for a picture)
{5} Do you have any Valentine's Day traditions?
{1} How was your Valentine's Day?
Well...it ended well. I had this FABULOUS idea that Coco should deliver Valentine balloons to Mima. I thought it would be adorable. So I tied the balloons to Coco's sweater and let her loosem thinking she would run up the steps and into the house to Mima.
I was wrong. Dead wrong. Coco did not like the balloons that were chasing her and freaked out. She went running and all i could imagine was her getting hit by a car or disappearing forever. It was 3 minutes of total horror. But we finally got a hold of her, after she pooped all over the place, and calmed her down.
So it was far less fabulous and adorable than it was suppose to be.
She and Big Daddy stopped speaking to me for a few hours. Big Daddy eventually forgave me and Coco is thinking about it.
HAPPY Valentine's Day...notice the terrified look on Coco's face and the way Mima is protecting her from the big bad balloons? Yep, mother of the year here.

{2} What is your favorite flower? Did your honey get them for you?
A lot of women got red roses for Valentine's Day this year. Unless this is your favorite flower I think it is silly. Let me tell you why. Men, being the silly little creatures that they are, automatically think that red roses are the best way to show a woman that they care. Why? I will tell you, too much TV. Yep, commercials. My opinion, get a woman her favorite flower IF your REALLY want to show her you care. Right?
OK, tangent over. I LOVE Gerbera Daisies..all shades of PINK. They are sturdy and last forever and are just cheerful! And no. I did not get any for Valentine's Day. But that is because I told Big Daddy not to waste money on flowers, unless it is an out of the blue, "just because" moment.

{3} Was Valentine's Day a big deal when you were a kid?
It was HUGE...picking out the perfect Valentines to pass out at school. Making and decorating my little Valentine mailbox out of a shoe box. Going through all of my Valentines over and over again. LOVED Valentine's Day...loved it!
{4} Did you put up any Valentine's Day decorations? (bonus points for a picture)
YES I decorated my Mantel and put a few little bits of Valentine goodness throughout the house. Nothing too terribly over the top.

{5} Do you have any Valentine's Day traditions?
Nope. We celebrated Valentine's Day in Feb 2010 it was awesome. In 2008 Big Daddy hijacked this here blog and wrote me a love letter it was awesome. As far as traditions go, we fly pretty fast and loose with Valentine's Day.
Here's the thing. We tell each other EVERYDAY how much we love each other. Big Daddy constantly reminds me of his love for me through the little things he does for me. Because the L-O-V-E is in the little details in life. The way he brings me a Tall Dark and Handsome when a Diet Pepsi from a fountain, over ice balls is exactly what I need. And how he places my pillows perfectly for me so that when I come to bed they are ready for me to snuggle down into. And how he opens doors for me, or tells me how pretty I am, how I can't walk past him without a kiss or a pat on the booty...it's all little but it all means so much. I never question how much he loves me, I KNOW he does...so if the occasional Valentine's Day is an epic fail I am totally cool with that.
Yep, really.
Looking forward to coming around and reading your answers!!

Poor coco she didn't like the balloon but i see Mima made up for it she safe all snuggled up with her. cute mantle.
I literally laughed out loud reading about Coco and the balloons. Hilarious. Absolutely hilarious!
Glad she has a protector from those scary, scary ballooons....
Happy Wednesday!!!
I feel the same about flowers and valentines day...why spend more on this one special day!
I laughed last night when I saw the post about the failure of balloon delivery and poor Coco. Nick did too.
It is the little things that let you know you're loved.
Aww...poor Coco! I feel just like you do about Valentine's Day. No flowers for me, either, and I'm absolutely fine with it...REALLY!
I adore your last answer! I couldn't agree with you more! I'm glad I wrote out my answers before I read yours or I would have wondered if I copied off of you! We have quite a bit in common this time! Well, I didn't send a dog running up to an old woman with balloons. But, still.
Poor Coco! I hope she has totally forgiven you. That's the thing about dogs, they forgive easily. I totally agree with you on the flower thing. I really don't care for red roses to begin with, but white or yellow would be A OK with me!!
I couldn't have said it better myself! It's the small things and I agree about the flowers. I'd rather not spend money on them because he felt the need to get me something on v-day I'd rather him surprise on any other ordinary day...although flowers are not my thang.
I'm so sorry about Coco...I'm sure that was scary and hard but it's actually kind of funny!
Glad she's ok!
OMGoodness...Coco still looks terrified of those balloons...poor thing!
I LOVE Gerbera daisies too!!!!
Um. I know it's not really funny, but it sorta is...I can't stop giggling at poor Coco since I read your update on FB last night.
And the picture makes me laugh even harder. :/
I love that Coco!
Which reminds me, Kolton was asking me last night how Coco was doing....and did I remember Coco Puffs? Remember, mommy, she's brown?? LOL
I've always admired the steady romance you and Big Daddy have- you two are amazing! :)
Also, I totally agree on the flowers thing (and Gerberas are awesome). I once had a similar "great idea" of attaching something to my lab....with the same result. Whoops! She'll forgive you, eventually. :)
Oh poor Coco. I can totally picture it and I'm sure now that it is over it is kinda funny. One of those things that is horrifying at the moment but later... ya know.
I TOTALLY agree about roses. TOTALLY.
Pooooor Coco! *giggle* As soon as you started that story I had a feeling I knew how it was going to end.
I totally agree with you on the flowers. And I love Gerbera daisies! My mom used to have tons of them in her garden.
Happy Hearts Day!!
love the decorations!! Gerbera daisies are my favorite too!! =)
Agreed - if you WANT to spend money on me in the flower department, then get the ones I'll actually love and enjoy seeing! Your decorations are pretty :)
Oh poor coco! lol but it sounds a little hilarious, I mean after the fact and since she's fine!
You're not a bad momma-it was a good idea, just didn't work how you planned.
Oh poor CoCo! I am sure she will forgive you :)
What a wonderful man you have! :) Happy Love Day!
Hello, long time no talk. I've been lost in too hectic of a life for the past couple of weeks, but I'm glad to be back and linking up this week!
I can definitely see where you were coming from with the balloon idea. It sounds like it should have been so adorable. I'm glad Coco got through her ordeal, though.
And I totally agree with you about roses. Yes, they are supposed to be a symbol of romance, but I think it's much more romantic to know someone well enough to pick up their favourite flowers. And I love your decorations, all the pink and red around at this time of year makes me so happy.
I completely agree with you about Valentine's Day. Every day is like Valentine's Day around here, so Feb 14th is just like any other day!
Aw, poor Coco!!!! She'll forgive you...someday. Probably next time you offer her a piece of bacon or something!!!
I love daisies...those are so beautiful!
Bahaha. Poor puppy.
I also told my hubby not to waste money on flowers. I would also rather get them randomly, "just because".
Not to big on V-day around here. I mean I don't HATE it, I just don't get why it should be a bigger day to show love than any other day.
awesome! we have the same fave flowers.
sad but funny story about coco. someday she'll look back on it and laugh. LOL
i show love everyday, but i like the treats, and the decorations a whole lot too. and getting it on clearance is just a fabulous, the hubs brought me a GIANT stuffed monkey in his suitcase, and a box of chocolates, turtles,( i love those.) When he came home from out of town. just to make me happy. i was just glad he came home, the gifts were a bonus.
