I Confess...
Everyday I am reminded about the MANY perks to living so close to family again.
Tonight it was a drop in visit from my sister Amy.
We were visiting, she enjoyed some leftovers from the deeeeelicious chicken, gnocchi soup I made for dinner and it was just so nice to have her here.
THEN I asked her if she wanted to color my hair for me.
She said sure. Just like that. I am now sitting here with a bag on my head letting it process and smother my gray!
What?
Yep, I have gray hairs!
I Confess...
I have a lot of gray. I started going gray at age 20.
Not fair right? I blame my mother.
I Confess...
I also love that we live around the corner from my folks and they drop in.
I love having people knocking on my door.
LOVE it.
I Confess...
I am loving my new house.
I have pictures to share, I think I will do a little home tour type feature on my blog each week.
As I get things done and decorated I will get them posted and share with y'all!
I Confess...
We went to watch my adorable niece Taylor cheer at a basketball game Wednesday night.
It was sooooo much fun.
They were playing my old alma mater the Gilroy High Mustangs.
I Confess...
I felt a little guilty cheering for the Hollister Haybalers...(not just because they have a lame mascot)
UNTIL I realized what a great team they are...seriously they smoked Gilroy! Made cheering a lot easier.
I Confess...
I am soooooo excited about Mamarazzi's Favorite Things Swap...spaces are filling up FAST, are you gonna play?
So what are you confessing this week?

souds like you are enjoying your new house very much and i am excited about the swap to
I like the idea of being that close to family. At the same time, I imagine that eventually, I'd be annoyed by my mother trying too hard to mother my kids. Maybe when they're older!
LOL, I started going gray when I was 20 too! I have no idea how gray I am now- I am a firm believer in at home color! Best stuff ever!
Have a most excellent weekend!
First time linking up :) This was soooo much fun to do!
Living near family is the best. Glad to see you are enjoying it.
My hair will be reintroduced to box color since my hair dresser moved back to the states!
1. I am going to be a one-upper: I started going gray in the 4th grade and at 30 I am over half gray.
2. I can't wait to see your house tour posts.
3. Drop-ins cause severe anxiety for me. When there is an unexpected knock on the door, I panic and sometimes hide. No joke. My whole family has that problem. We all live within a mile of each other, except one sister who is in another city, and we always call before stopping over, unless we're going to my mom's. The door is always open there.
4. It's awesome that you are enjoying your family so much already.
I started going gray early and was almost completely gray at 32. I've just let it go naturally and it's kind of growing on me. People comment often that my hair is "striking." Isn't that crazy? Maybe they think I'm actually 65 and look good for my age.
I cannot wait to see the pictures of your new house.
The Favorite Things swap is going to be so fun!
I can't wait to see the new house =) How exciting!! We moved into a new house mid-November =) I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!
Your favorite things swap sounds like SO much fun!! =)
I would have a hard time cheering for the haybalers too haha! But my sister went to a high school that had a flamingo as the mascot lol...I feel like a haybaler could be MUCH more dangerous =)
Drop in visitors are so much fun!
It's wonderful that you are so happy where you are now.
My teenage girls are what put the gray in my hair!:)I used to get my hair colored at the salon...then Chris lost his job. I've been using Natural Instincts because I'm too afraid to go permanent. If you don't mind my asking, what brand of hair color do you use? I might work up enough nerve to try it.
Thanks lot for this useful article, nice post..

Thank you for linking me up!!
I blame your mom for your grays too.
LOL I just thought it'd be funny to say that. I'd color your hair!
Bring it to the beach house. :)
I want to see your house so bad.
I remain jealous that you live so close to your family, but I'm very happy for you!
Also, I just tried dying my hair with powdered henna leaves for the first time, and loved it!
It's like you live in Mayberry, all the neighbors popping in to say hello. :D
I'm excited too! So glad you're loving it there, can't wait to see the tour!
I am also living back in my hometown and I love it! Love love love it. Though sometimes I wish I didn't live quite so close to all my family, lol.
my hair needs a new color, too.
I'd complain about turning 30 in a couple months, but that would make me "that" sister. And you and Amy are already having so much fun without me I can hardly stand it.
That's it. Even if I can't bring my family this year ($2300 whaaaa?!) I'm coming for a weekend. May sounds nice.
It wasn't until I moved 4 hours away from my family that I realized how nice it was to have them close. Of course now that the kids are little I wish we lived close to cousins so they could play...maybe someday!
It's so great you can be close to your sister.
You keep tempting me with your swaps..I just know when I see what everyone gets and the excitement I'll have wished I joined in!
can't wait to see pics of the new house!!
wish i could join up on the favorite things swap but money is super tight due to my lemon of a dog (whom I love!) maybe next time...
happy friday!!
Linked up with my confessions!!!
Oh snap! I just sent in my email to be a newbie! Hope I get picked....hope I get picked!! See my fingers and toes are crossed. My birthday is in 4 weeks so perfect timing!
Am so with you about living close to family- they're always about to lend a helping hand and spread the love, which is doubly important now Isaac is here!
And I too am a fan of hair dye- I can't remember my natural colour, in fact if I ever stop colouring my hair (it's been blue to red to blonde to brown amid other shades!) it'll probably fall out in shock! xx
I have been thinking about coloring mine again.
I love reading how you are so in love with your new home and location!
can't wait to see your new house!!!
A home tour would be fantastic! It sounds absolutely lovely and I can imagine how wonderful it is to be so close to family!
Hmm... Wrong linky! Not sure how that happened. Oh well! I double linked up my favorite things post. : )
Awesome she colored youur hair for you! So fun to have visitors. I can't wait to see pics, or see it in real life. I linked up but couldn't do the picture on my phone. Lame.
I started going gray early too. It's not fair - on us dark haired girls, those grays REALLY stand out!
I'm glad you are having such a happy time being back close to your family!
I'm excited about the new house pictures! I think it's so fun to see other people's houses.
I wish I was OK with drop in visitors. I want to be that person, but drop-ins stress me out.
I posted too late to get in on the Mr.Linky, but my confessions are up on my blog today complete with links back you you! Happy Monday.
Damn grays! You should see mine right now. I'm a super hot mess. I am getting my hair straightened on Friday so I am waiting to color til after & I have MAJOR white streaks at my roots. I suck.
YAY for family & friends close by. Wish I was one of them :(
