I Confess The Blogsphere is HUGE and There is a Place for EVERYONE!!

Photobucket

I Confess...

I LOVE meeting new bloggers. I recently received a email from Bonnie @ Life With Bon. She expressed how hard it was to "get in" with fellow bloggers and how everyone seems to have already established cliques.

I Confess...

This is something that has always kind of bothered me about some of our fellow bloggers. Some bloggers do tend to run in cliques.

I Confess...

I have been on the inside of one  of those cliques and found myself on the "outside" just as quickly as I was "brought" in.

I Confess...

The funny thing is that until I was on the outside, I never even realized I was on the inside.

Isn't that weird how that happens?

I Confess...

I try really hard to use my blog as a place to bring people together.

This is the whole reason for my weekly link parties...did you know I host THREE of them?

Tuesday is My Happy List...a time to share what is making you HAPPY, because what you pay attention to grows.

Wednesday is We Want to Know...my co hosts and I encourage you to ignore the laundry and answer a little Q&A.

and, of course...

Friday Confessional...your chance to air the good, the bad and even the ugly! It's OK, confession is good for the soul, and no one is going to judge you!!

I Confess...

I love that people who link up actually visit and comment on each other's blogs. I love that friendships are formed and bloggers feel like they are a part of something.

I Confess...

I also love hosting my SWAPS...in fact I am thinking it is time for another.

So I am looking for a vote. Check out the poll on my sidebar for the theme and shipping date!

I Confess...

I LOVE making new blog friends. If you visit my blog regularly and never comment, I would love to hear from you. I would LOVE to visit your blog and get to know you.

I always do my very best to not only visit everyone who links up for the Link Parties here at Dandelion Wishes, but also follow people who comment back to their blogs to leave a little love.

I Confess...

Some days it takes me a little longer than others, but I promise I really do my very best.

Right now I am still trying to get my new internet in the new house to work properly. It is hit and miss during the day but seems to be working fine late at night...soooo I am slow these days. Sorry.

So, do you feel like making a fairly new blogger feel welcome? Go and say hello to Bonnie @ Life With Bon, she is adorable! I especially loved her recent post; an open letter to Pinterest, I just know you will love her...and tell her Mamarazzi sent ya!

I would agree, some bloggers on here are in their so-called cliques and do not spread their wings even just a bit. But since I like to read, I'll still note and hope that one day they'll note on me. I try to link up and blog daily through the week so maybe the more I link up.

Have a great weekend and I'll stop by her page!

as a new{er} blogger, I have to agree with Bonnie, it's hard to come into the game when lots of people already have their circles formed.

Thanks for the comment, I changed the settings now so you can actually reply to my comments =)

I giggle cause I have no clue as to what or who these Cliques are. I must be that uncool. However I do suck at the comment part. I will work on that I promise! I love to blog hop and do it more when I am at work then home, how odd is that? Ya I know I'm just one of those "special" people!

I love your link-ups! And you've been great to me, the novice! I'm even getting better about commenting...
Happy Friday!!!

Your memes are how I broke into this circle! I love them and am super glad for bloggers like you. :)

There are definitely "circles" or cliques of "cool" bloggers... kind of like high school! Which is why I don't read a couple of blogs I used to read. I read your blog cuz I love it and you are awesome!

sarita edgerton said...

I hope that the moving went well! Can I be a part of your clique? I guess if you have to ask then you are just not clique material ;)

I want in on your next SWAP. I LOVE them!

I've been in and out of several groups of bloggers. Don't know if they were cliques exactly, but things change in bloggy land--blogs come and go--that keeping up with some cliques and groups can be challenging.
I've stopped following several blogs because they changed how they blogged or just sort of fell off the radar.
Looking forward to the next swap.

I confess that it does feel cliquey a lot of times, and that makes me sad. It's like I'm back in high school trying to fit in with the popular group. :(

Have you shared photos of your new house? (I've been out of the blog reading loop for awhile!)

Mrs. Green said...

If I were in a bloggy group I'm prob out now. Having a baby takes so much that when I have time to get on here I'm usually asleep. I am getting to where I can take five min for myself though. :)

That's funny....I feel like Blogger is the one place I don't have to worry about cliques! If I don't visit a blog, it's because the blog subject matter is of little interest to me, not because I'm too cool for it. Although, I do read more than I comment (bad Beth! no biscuit!).

Laura Carson said...

I absolutely LOVE you guys. I know that our focuses are different - but I think you're awesome and try to keep up when I can. Mamarrazi, there is something special about being a person that brings other people together. I really appreciate that about you and your blog! You're an inspiration!

And you're right - there's room for everyone!

I stay out of cliques...it's not even that I TRY to, I just do...maybe I'm not cool enough?!

I love that you are such a huge blogger and still make time for your readers, that is incredibly sweet. Most don't...

Some do.. Most don't...

I voted for a Favorite things swap! It's been a while! :)

Luff your face.

I confess that I am always wanting to do a confession post but I never get around to doing it!
I confess that I don't think I've ever been in a bloggging 'clique' and I'm totally okay with that.

Brianne said...

All I can do is laugh at "those" types of bloggers. I mean, really? It's a damn blog! Love you confessions this week! :)

Amanda said...

I love that about you (that you join people together)! I've met some wonderful people through you! I confess ... I haven't done as much blogging as I'd like, but hope to get focused and on a schedule soon! And let me tell you ... I'm totally in for the swap this time!! Yay!

Jolene said...

I love your blog...all the linkys and all. I have made friends from your site as well and enjoy reading other blogs. Thanks Mamarazzi!!!!

Oh and a swap, too excited. I loved my first one with you! Just voted.

I don't think I've ever been "in" with the clique bloggers, but that's okay. I've met tons of people that I think of as my friends. I have outgrown high school cliques. On my way to Bonnie's!

Xazmin said...

I have made some great friends through blogging, and I try to make sure they each know how much I appreciate them, and now that I am getting back into blogging regularly, I'm trying to reach out and make new friends too!

I'm excited about a swap! I hope I can sign up in time!

I don't consider myself a 'real' blogger as you and many others are. I only started my blog to record some thoughts for posterity. I sort of got onto the link parties and diy as a result of reading other blogs. At 60 years of age, I don't worry much about cliques anymore but, I do confess that I love your blog and would not have known that Mimi was an OSU Beaver (YES) if I had not 'met' her through your blog. So, however people interact in the blogosphere, it can't help but be mostly positive. As with all good things, there are those poor souls that just can't help themselves if they are not attempting to make others miserable. As I always told my children, that really says so much more about them than it does about you. Keep doing what you do so well ... bringing smiles to your followers.

Love your Happy List idea...and the swaps too. I did a favorite things swap way back when. Fun stuff. :)

It is nice of you to help introduce a new blogger!! We can all use more friends!!

I would LOVE to join in with your next swap!!

I voted on the sidebar!! :)

It is sometimes hard to "fit" it with bloggers. I have came across a lot of them that are pretty clique-y :)

I have also stumbled one a bunch of them that are super fake! Ugh! I hate that!

Oh, my gosh I know how Bonnie feels! I have found some blogs to be such a clique I don't even bother commenting BUT if I enjoy the blog I still read it. Now, I think what Bonnie has to understand is many Bloggers read a ton of blogs, I know I do and I just don't have the time to comment every.single.time. What I do try to do is comment here and there and I definitely comment when a post really speaks to me.
Now, my problem with Linkys. I use to totally enjoy them but I put my heart and soul into a link. If I do a link I DO IT. I do my best to visit most of the bloggers and definitely comment on that day. I don't necessarily follow everyone, I think you should follow bloggers that truly interest you but if you join a link party then you should participate. Unfortunately,I am finding that many bloggers are just linking and not doing the link? Why bother? Or they link and they still only visit the bloggers they know? What is the point? Anyway, I have kind of backed off linking parties because I think bloggers have lost their integrity of truly doing them, which means participating by visiting and commenting on the other bloggers that have linked up.
Wow, so sorry I vented on your blog!

New blogger here in the UK- adore your blog and have been following for a while and thought I'd join in! Looking forward to linking up this week! xx

I've never been one to sit at the 'cool girls table'- though I've been allowed to carry lunch trays from time to time! LOL!

When I first started blogging, I sought out other bloggers and made "Blog Friends" many of whom no longer blog but I keep up with them via Facebook. I forget to go out and find/meet new people even though I enjoy it. I think I'll take this post as a challenge to go out and friend some new folks. We ALL love feedback! Thanks for the inspiration!

I love that this bloggy world is so diverse. I love that you can just click in & out of where ever you feel comfortable or not. There is definitely such great people (like you) out there that let it be known that everyone has a place. Yay you :)

Ginger Zuck said...

I feel that way sometimes too, but I just don't pay any attention to it. I love meeting new bloggers and making new friends and I will go over and give your friend some love.

I have to agree with this discovery of blog cliques. I just started my blog in September and I already have an idea of a couple pretty big cliques out there- it's the most obvious on Twitter. While it can be a little annoying, I also think it's great that women have established such strong connections with other women from all over the world because of their blog. I just wish that just because I wasn't around in the beginning, wouldn't mean that I can't get to know these women too.

I know how Bonnie feels. It's frustrating when you read someone's blog every day, commenting regularly, and they never ever visit yours. Just once in a while would make me happy! Here's to a no cliques blog! (I just took a sip of my water in honor of the toast.)
