Since I am fresh off my whirlwind road trip to take my Mima back to Idaho and bring my Aunt Debi to live here with us, I have road tripping on my mind. I love a good road trip, I am wondering how y'all feel about them...so here are the questions.

{1} What are 3 must haves for a long road trip?
{2} What was the destination of your most recent road trip?
{3} What do you miss most about home when on a trip?
{4} What is the furthest you have traveled on a road trip?
{5} Will you "stop for the largest ball of twine, etc" or are you a "hurry and get there" road tripper?

And here are MY answers...I WILL be around to visit and comment everyone this week!

{1} What are 3 must haves for a long road trip?
Good company, Good music and Good road snacks!! I MUST stop for Diet Pepsi refills along the way...and BIG rice krispie treats. The music HAS to be the kind you can turn up and sing along to. The company...well, my mom is really fun to road trip with, and so is my sister Meg but Big Daddy is my all time favorite road trip buddy. Coco is running a very close second tho...

{2} What was the destination of your most recent road trip?
Rexburg Idaho...with a stop in Fallon Nevada on both ends. It went like this...Wed 5hrs to Fallon, sleep over. Thur 10hrs to Rexburg, sleep over. Friday 10hrs to Fallon, sleep over. Saturday 5hrs to home. It was FAST!! And it was a lot of fun...Coco, Mima, my folks, Big Daddy and Aunt Debi on the way home...good times!!

{3} What do you miss most about home when on a trip?
My own bed. I love love love my bed. OH, and my own potty.

{4} What is the furthest you have traveled on a road trip?
Hmm...I think Wyoming. Why can't I remember? It is after all my question. Duh! Oh wait, New Mexico might have been the furthest.

{5} Will you "stop for the largest ball of twine, etc" or are you a "hurry and get there" road tripper?
Oh I am all about taking my time to get to my destination. When we drove to St. George Utah last year for my Grandma's funeral my sister Meg (living in Arkansas) requested California peaches. Since we were driving we started looking for fruit stands along the way. We ended up taking a major detour to a pick your own farm. We were caravanning with my sister Amy and her family. There was a darling petting farm and the kids loved picking the peaches themselves. Sure, it added to our long day in the car, but it was so much fun!

Wow! That was a quick trip. Awww...I'd love to have Coco as a travel companion. My dogs are much to spastic to join us on a car ride. *ahem* You should make another trip to NM. I'm just sayin.

you are definitely one of my favorite road trip buddies, too!
"Pull over! Go back! that sign said FREE apples! Let's bake a pie!" hahahaha
and my other favorite?
being left at the side of the road together at the Grand Canyon. bwahahahahhaa!
good times.
Arkansas is "only" 26 hours away....

Road trips used to be a lot more fun before I had my kids! :) But they are so SO good in the car I am very blessed. We live 4 hrs away from my parents and 2 hrs away from my hubby's parents, so road trips are a necessity and they've been traveling all their lives. Also we don't have a DVD player in the car yet, so they know how to keep themselves busy...or sleep! :)
I'm glad you had a good trip!!

We love road trips--with destination and without. Sometimes it's fun to just see where the road will take us.
I miss my bed too.

I'm definitely with you on the bed thing! I remember complaining when I was a kid because we hardly ever went anywhere, and when we did, my mom whined about how she didn't sleep well in a strange bed. Now I totally know what she means...

Oh I think you and I would have fun in the car on the roadtrip...but when it came time for the detours I might go a little crazy!! :)

Oh, your own potty! How did I not think of that one! I hate public restrooms with a passion.

Glad your trip to Rexburg, although fast, was fun! :-)

I love little "side trips" that just happen along the way!

I am a "my own bed" kind of girl, too. Nothing beats the comfort of sleeping in your own bed!!

I went to Rexburg once for the Sand Dunes there when I was a teenager, it was kind of pretty, for Idaho. hahaha.

Glad you had a good time, I should have included the potty in mine too. Finding restrooms sucks!

My bed is definitely a close second to what I miss.

Oh, if I had a better bed, I too would miss mine but we need a new one. The potty, oh I forgot to state that in mine...true for me too.

How fun picking your own peaches and once again...a memory! I like that about you. You create warm memories for family members.

Now I'm wondering if Cali peaches are the best thing ever! I've never had anything else, so I really can't judge!

i would definitely need my iPod, and if I'm not driving, my iPhone. I must have good tunes!

Honestly, I'm not a fan of road trips. I see them as a necessary evil and tend to drive straight through in an attempt to get to my destination as soon as possible.
