I Confess...
As Summer is winding down I want to be in front of my computer less and less.
I can barely get my work done, I am so over having a computer in my lap.
I Confess...
I will be glad when August is over. Big Daddy has been working 10pm-6am and the shift is killing me.
I HATE sleeping alone so I have been working at night and sleeping when he sleeps during the day.
It's a wonky lifestyle. I miss the sun. My tan is fading FAST!
I Confess...
I have loved having my Mima close by. She has been staying with my parents and we have been able to go over the hill to see her on Big Daddy's days off.
Coco is madly in love with her and the feeling is totally mutual. You can almost see the exploding cartoon hearts over their heads, it's adorable!

This picture makes me laugh. We love Phil's Fish Market in Moss Landing.
Mima saw "Phil the Fisherman" and we asked her to pose for a picture. She did not disappoint, joking that this was her new tall dark and handsome boyfriend. Of course later when we showed her the picture she said she already had a man waiting on her in heaven. Love her.

I am hoping to get my blogging mojo back soon.
I really appreciate Big Daddy taking over the blog last week. It was a much needed and welcome break.
It also made me realize that he has some good stuff to say, so he will be posting now and then. I am hoping to talk him into a weekly post.

I hate that shift too! It used to kill me when my husband worked nights because then it was like I did too! Good luck!

I would actually love that schedule for myself! For some reason I'm always exhausted during the day and wide awake at night. Hence this 3:00 a.m. link up and comment :)

Match works a similar shift, 9pm-630am. I like to stay up as late as I can and sleep in with him too. It definitely messes with my system though, because then some days I have to get up during the day, like for my volunteer shift at the nursery, or if I make plans with friends. So a lot of the time I wander around looking like a zombie because my sleep schedule is all kinds of wonky.
I'm with you on the laptop thing. I can't wait for this weekend and the chance to get out of the house. I've been going a little stir crazy with Match working the past 7 days in a ROW. Ughhhh.

John works from 5pm - 1:30am Monday - Friday and has for over 2 years now. I hate it!
I know exactly what it feels like to sleep alone. My hubs does the night shift, it sucks! A lot of nights I can't sleep very well. I feel your pain. Mima made me laugh..maybe she should be a guest blogger?? :)

My hubby worked 3rd shift for the first 6 years of our marriage and I hated it.. with a passion. Now he works first that could and does run into second and occasionally the beginnings of a 3rd.. sighs.

I admit, the weekends when my husband is gone, I actually enjoy hogging the bed for a good 20 minutes. Then I miss him. Sleeping in an empty bed is the worst.
I'm with you on the lack of blog-mojo! I totally WANT to blog, but when it comes to actually doing it I've totally been slacking lately. Wish I could talk my hubby into blogging for me! How sweet is that. =)

I love that your Mima said she has her man waiting in heaven. I work with the older population primarily and I think its so sweet when they've been married so long and are still in love. Sweet!

That shift is the worst. I sleep when he sleeps, and he never fully adjusts to it so he's always crabby.
