I Confess because of a recent slowdown at work I have been getting very good at Words With Friends during the workday. Oh, and Word Feud too (holla MiMiand Myya my IRL friends LOL)
I Confess I am a total news junkie. I read the newspaper front to back, I check news websites several times a day and watch the news on TV whenever I can wrestle the remote away from my beautiful wife, Mamarazzi, and Reality TV (more on that later).
I Confess I am feeling my age this week as I have begun training for the Napa Valley Ragnar Relay. I can totally feel my hips and back after sitting for a bit.
I Confess Camp Vasquez is my favorite week of the summer. I have already started plans for next year’s camp and cannot wait! I don’t know who has more fun, the kids or me.
I Confess that as much as I enjoy my job and love what I do, I have always wanted to be a radio talk show host. I also think it would be fun to co host a show with my beautiful and funny wife. We are awesome together.
I Confess that I love my wife. I think she is beautiful, smart, funny and has great taste and is overall a very classy woman.
Take all of that into consideration when I relay the story of walking in on her watching something very disturbing on television:
Every once in a while I will be brought out of a deep sleep with a plummeting blood glucose level. I woke up in a cold sweat, disoriented and shaky. I stumble down the hall to the kitchen intent on getting a snack.
As I round the corner I see my beautiful wife on the sofa, as I make eye contact I see the shame in her eyes. I do not immediately know the source of her shame until my eyes scan over to the television.
To my shock and horror I am confronted with a creature that defies description. It was orange, barely clothed and spoke an indiscernible dialect that vaguely resembled English.
My wife was watching JERSEY SHORE! Oh the disgrace.
She tried to switch channels, but the remote control failed her. As she franticly attempted to change the channel I put up my hand and told her it was too late, I had seen too much already.
Some things cannot be unseen. We have not spoken of the “incident” since that night. Some things are better just left alone.

Lol, yeah that's a pretty embarrassing show to be caught watching! Good job training for the relay. Have Mamarazzi train with you! There is nothing more motivating than working out with your spouse. Match helped me train for a half marathon and I couldn't have done it without him. Good luck and that's so awesome that you're taking over the blogging duties. What a good hubs! Hope Mamarazzi feels better soon.

I'm a huge news slut too!!! My son was picking on me last week because we were going to the movies and he was like "Mom, you're going to miss the news, will you be ok?" Sad thing is, he was serious!!! LOL
haha too funny! It is so weird that sometimes we feel embarassed to get caught watching certain trash TV.
I am completely opposite of you, Big Daddy -- I loathe the news. I try to avoid it at most costs -- it is mostly too depressing and one sided. AND false more times than not...well I think SKEWED is a better term.

Way to rock the confessional, Big Daddy. Jersey Shore...sad days...sad sad days. I was totally addicted to The Hills...which lets be honest, prettier people, but equal shame.
I confess that my hubby is a news junkie too. Given the chance he will go watch the news channels and hit the new websites all the time. Me, I'm not so much with the keeping up. I like the news they put on the radio--short and to the point.

My husband has an infatuation with putting that show on while trying to talk just like them. It makes me puke in my mouth a little.
Being a radio host would be rad. But never with my husband, the FCC would just us down after 3 minutes. :)

I am a Words With Friends and Word Feud fiend...I love them so much that I had to turn off the notifications on my phone or I spent WAAAAYYY TOO MUCH TIME playing them. (jollyegirl is my username if you want to play! You'll have to start a game because I can't start anymore on wwf!!!) As for the news junkie thing, I think that's hilarious, you and my friend Kindra would get along quite well as she is very much that way too!!! Great post!!!
