This week's questions are from ME, yep, your's truly...Mamarazzi. Here is what I want to know...
{1} You have been asked to give a 10 minute speech to teenage girls. What is it about?
{2} Do you have a pet? Tell us about them. No pets? Why?
{3} What is the biggest inconvenience about the place you’re currently living?
{4} What do you think is the single best decision you have made in your life so far?
{5} What are the THREE "nevers" of your life? (things you would never do or have never done)
Here are MY answers, please read and comment...and I will come by and leave a little love on your blog too! Don't just link and run, it hurts my feelings.
{1} You have been asked to give a 10 minute speech to teenage girls. What is it about?
I would talk to them about the importance of Self Worth. I saw this on Facebook a few weeks ago and it really resonated with me: "If you're not being treated with the love and respect you deserve, check your "PRICE TAG." Perhaps you have marked yourself down. It's YOU who tell people what you're worth by what you accept. Get off the "CLEARANCE RACK" and get behind the glass case where they keep the "VALUABLES." Bottom line...."VALUE" yourself more."
I wasted precious time in my life with boys and then men who didn't treat me the way I deserved to be treated. I realized when I was TWENTY SEVEN that I was allowing it and was attracting those men(basically wasting my good baby making years with losers, none of which I wanted to share a child with). So, I changed my price tag...now I have a man who loves me the way I am suppose to be loved. The way I deserve to be loved.
{2} Do you have a pet? Tell us about them. No pets? Why?Well Coco is more a part of the family than a "pet", but she is the BEST and sweetest furbaby I have ever had. My life is blessed and our family dynamic is enriched by her fun, loving personality.
{3} What is the biggest inconvenience about the place you’re currently living?I haven't been successful making new friends here. I feel like I am living on an island. I would love to take this house and put it closer to family in a town with normal people. This is the strangest part of California I have ever lived in. Sometimes it is worse than an island, it feels like another planet. So I guess my answer is, it is inconvenient living where I am far from family and surrounded by weirdos, and I don't mean the fun kind of weirdos.
{4} What do you think is the single best decision you have made in your life so far?
Marrying Big Daddy. I am glad he was patient while I broke up with him early in our "courtship" to date around and taste all the flavors before I decided Mexican Chocolate was my favorite (LOL). I am also glad that when I asked him to marry me he said yes. He is the BEST husband I have ever had and he loves me juuuust right!
{5} What are the THREE "nevers" of your life? (things you would never do or have never done)1. McDonalds...never ever ever ever! The smell triggers my gag reflex, always has. Seriously, people tell me I am missing out. I am pretty sure everyone who tells me that is crazy!2. Never own or be in the presence of a Pit-bull...I know there are people who have them who say it is all about how they are raised. I was at a BBQ at a former co-workers house who had a pit bull and said that same thing, until the pit pull ran from it's shady spot across the yard to take down his 2 yr old. After witnessing that, no one can convince me they are misunderstood dogs. There is something primal about their instincts and they scare me.3. Never given birth... now unlike my previous answers this is something I would loooove to to. It is my one wish that I make on every birthday, falling star, coin in the fountain and dandelion wish. I am pretty sure that if it never happens my life will feel somewhat unfulfilled. I feel like I have everything else, ever happiness and comfort, including a beautiful 15 yr old daughter who I sometimes forget I didn't give birth to and whom I love VERY much. Giving birth to a child of my own would just be the icing on an already delicious cake.

I have answered and "lunk" to all four!
Great q's this week!
A furry four legged family member does bring so much joy. She looks so adorable!

@Conversations with an Angel
Yes! Yes! I agree with Halie.
What a great quote about self worth--that is good stuff!
And all pets should be treated like members of the family and spoiled rotten!
I'm shocked that you never have had McDonalds!
Big huge mean dogs scare me too!
Awww, I would love to see you have a baby too. SOmeone as sweet as yuo are surely deserves one!
love your speech idea
I linked up for the first time - this week's edition of WWTK can be found here http://stacys101list.blogspot.com/2011/06/we-want-to-know.html
I freak about dogs in general. Hais was bit by a black lab- worst day of my life... I think being cautious about dogs in general is a good practice!
I love that you asked him to marry you. When you know it is right- you know it is right!!
You're totally not missing out on McDonalds. I stopped eating it in 2004 and never looked back. Don't miss it for one second!
You are not missing a thing! MickyD's is gross!!
Good thoughts for the teenagers. I hope your wish will come true.
Look at you and your little furry girl! What a great coupled you two are!
what a lovely list,, I'm sure that if its meant to be a baby will come,,happy you found Mr.Right,, happy he said yes,, sounds like a perfect match,, you are lucky to have the family you have ,and they lucky to have you,,, they obviously make you the person you are and you're a good person,,although I've never met you in person,, from reading your wrinting you seem honest, big hearted and lots of fun,,this was a great post,, I think I love your honesty,,
I totally agree on the pit bull thing! my hubs wants one and im like NO! lol. Coco is adorable :)
I wish McD triggered my gag reflex haha maybe then I wouldnt be so chunky, and I totally agree on the self value thing!!
In some ways I feel like some of your answers could be my answers. Well, minus the only having one dog part. Haha! The speech to teenage girls - perfect! Giving birth is definately on my list of "nevers" - as in never yet, but wishing...
I am so with you on the Pit Bull thing. I will not allow my kids to be at someone's house if they have one. I am so tired of hearing people say over and over again that they are misunderstood. My husband likes watching Judge Judy whenever he has a day off and I can't tell you how many cases I have seen on there with pit bulls, my dad was chased by one once and barely got away jumping over a fence, my friend in high school had his face destroyed by one, and just the other day one was shaking his head and growling at my kids and I through a fence as we walked by.
A person has one in my neighborhood and when they walk it they have to have a muzzle on it.
I know there are other dogs that attack, I know there are probably a few pit bulls that stay nice there whole life... but it is not worth finding out!
I am not a fan of McDonalds either but everyone else in my little family loves it so I have to go there sometimes.
I really like the idea you posted of what you would talk to the girls about. That is great.
I can't imagine where you live.. I've been to California 1x in my life.. but can only hope that life sends you guys somewhere else-- no one should be hatin' life where they live... your pup is adorable.. I want a lil' lap dog.. hubs wants a ginormous ape like dog. I can't believe Mc'D's grosses you out.. as I sit here eating it now as my breakfast.. was there a bad experience? a movie perhaps?
hah!! hugs!!! Come live in Texas!!
I could have used that speech when I was a teen--not sure if it would have registered, but I needed it.
Coco is adorable--and you have proof!
I like our town, but the turnover in people makes it hard to make lasting friends. College towns are like that.
Can't say I've never done McDs, but it's not really my first choice--I like Wendy's.
Aw I love the pictures of Coco as a baby! How precious. Well she's precious now too, but look at that little puppy face!!
And I agree with you on the pit-bull thing, there are some animals that I just don't trust. Pit-bulls are on that list, as are horses, hah.

I'm totally with you on the speech. Self worth is so key!
I agree about pets being family not 'pets.' I lovingly referred to my dogs as my brothers. :-)
I'm glad you found a man who treats you well. So many women don't think they deserve it but THEY DO!
What a cute dog!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
GGreat Q & A this week!
Love love the speech idea. Now just to figure out how to change that tag. Easier said than done. Perfect for teen girls though before they get stuck in the bargain basement forever.
I eat at mcdonalds. Rarely and only certain things. It's not my first choice but it isn't my last.
I have no pets. The kids ask for one. I say the baby is our pet and that's it.
Your wish is my wish for you too.
I'm 27, single, and often told that I'm wasting my good baby-making years by not changing my "price tag". I refuse to lower it. Thanks for posting your speech to the teens, because it resonated with ME! I'm not going to settle!!
And I wish I hated Mickey D's. It's one of my biggest weaknesses...*sigh*
I will be stealing that quote...it.is.perfect!
I agree, we don't have pets in our house we have four legged babies!
I am certainly blessed to live in the community I do, minus the swingers, I think I take that for granted way too often!
I'm glad you love your mexican Chocolate so much and I'm even more glad he treats you the way you deserve to be treated!
McDonalds has the best fries if they are fresh. The key is to order them without salt that way you're sure to get a fresh batch then ask for salt and ketchup before you drive off
Awww your blog is adorable but your dog is even more adorable!! I think I am in love!! New follower here!
You wrote #3 because of my living conditions didn't you? HA!
I felt like you feel...when we lived in Utah. It's like another country!
No McDondalds?? Whhhattttt? I get tired of it, to be honest.
From one adoptive mom to another.... Ya TOTALLY forget that you didn't birth your child.
certain dogs scare the crap out of me. rotts, chows, etc. I would never have one. We had to get rid of our english bulldog because he saw little kids as competition. sad but not worth the risk.
"Pets" have a way of becoming family members so easily. Coco is adorable!
Mexican Chocolate. LOL! That's too funny!
And that is so true about self-worth. Love the quote!
I go to McDonald's more then I'd care to admit, but you really aren't missing out.
I love how honest you are! That's one of the reasons I read your blog :)
I too, am in a situation where I have found it hard to make friends, so I get that. It sucks! I have always had friends and lots of them, but in this "new" place, it just seems like everybody has there own thing going on. I hate it!

Love your answer to #1! Where were you when I was a teen!?! :)
Coco is so adorable. I love the middle picture where she has her head on her paws. So cute! I don't know what I would do without my furbaby!!
I can't imagine never having McDonald but I'm not one that says your missing out. It's alright but there is better things out there. Sure every now and then you just need some really salty fries but that's it for my Mickey Ds cravings.
I've never had a pit-bull nor have I been around one but I do believe it's all in how they are raised. But saying that I wouldn't own one if I had kids.
I'm making the same wish as you! One day our wishes, prayers, and dreams will come true.
OMG. I just wrote this ginormous comment and IT DIDN'T POST!!
So...it went something like this:
Love the quote from fb. That's awesome!
Lexi is like our furbaby too. She's part of the family. We love her like a child.
Our towns sound similar. I don't have many friends here either. It's scary here.
Mexican chocolate? So is he 1/2 mexican and 1/2 black? I've never heard of mexican chocolate before but everything is better in chocolate is what I say! lol
McDonalds fries are tasty but we don't eat there anymore. Not after watching Food Inc. *puke*
I hope you get to experience child birth. It's amazing BUT there are lots of babies with no mommas out there too. We're thinking about adopting. Emma may be our only miracle and that's ok too.
xoxo
Your speech is amazing! I think that speech could also be used for a lot of women, not just teens. :)
While McDonalds doesn't affect my gag reflexes, I don't care for it. I don't care for any fast food to be honest. I eat it on very very rare occasions. Eww!
I hope that you will be able to experience pregnancy one day. You definitely deserve it!
Aww, these are really great answers. I like your best decision, it's amazing when things work out so well. :)
Coco is just TOO cute!
I, too, put myself on the clearance rack for many, many years. Sometimes I still do it, though I'm trying every day to change those habits. I'm hoping my Big Daddy comes into my life sometime in the next few years! *le sigh*
As for having a baby....I'm pulling for you! I think it's fantastic that you've had a chance to be a mom without having given birth, but I understand the appeal of being pregnant, birthing a child, raising your child from age 0 (babies are fascinating!), etc. I've got my fingers crossed!
I've known many loving pit bulls, but when you've seen something like that, I can understand your trepidation.
I will keep your baby wishes in my thoughts.
Your furbaby is adorable!! I'd have a similar talk with all those young girls! I swear, I don't remember being that stupid when I was there age. I know I was, I just don't remember it lol. They let boys treat them like shit and don't even see it. It's sad!
I would tell girls that they have a voice and speak up...I want to hear what they have to say!!!
Great metaphor in #1. Great way to put it.
Happy Wednesday! I LOVE question #1!!!!!
I really enjoyed reading your answers this week! I especially like what you wrote for number one. :)
Oh, and I really really hope your wish comes true. Giving birth is a beautiful thing.
Loved the questions this week - they are always so fun! I guess it's why I look forward to Wednesdays!!
I've linked up!
That is an adorable little dachshund!
I'm new here, but I have enjoyed what I have read very much!
I love your advice for number 1. Know your worth girls! I learned that the hard way too. Glad you know it now.
Wow you asked your hubby to marry you? I love your balls! I love my fur baby too! I wouldn't know what to do without mine. They just make the day brighter. I'm glad you do see all of the amazing blessings you do have. So many people do not. You are so lucky. Remember that and cherish it!
I'm not on clearance, but I AM Walmart priced. You know. Not even 9.99, but rather 9.98.
I'm low priced every day.
You don't need a coupon.
But if you brought me one I would double it. Then I could be as low as like 99 cents. Still not free.
I've got to figure out a way to make sure those super couponers can never figure out a way to get me free.
This comment wasn't supposed to be all about my price.
Where was I?
Your speech to the teenage girls--love it!!
And you know I love me some Coco pics ;)
love your photos!
I so agree with your first answer. A healthy self worth is the key to a good life, imo.
Cheers,
Tracy Screaming Sardine
I really wanted to participate today, but I usually write my posts at night, and the questions weren't up yet. Is there a way to know the questions before midnight?
I agree with what you said about self-worth. I would also talk about modesty. I think girls need to hear why modesty is a good thing.
I don't trust pit bulls either! My oldest step-daughter has a German shepherd, and I don't like those, either. She's one of those people that think it's not the breed, but the owner who makes the dog vicious, and while that is true, I believe that certain breeds are predisposed to viciousness including pit bulls.
you pup rocks! and...
I too spent too many years not getting what I deserved. This is what ALL of us should be talking to teenage girls about!
BOYS STINK!...but I love my MAN!
Love your speech on self worth ...
And based on your lack of friends in the area, I suppose it means I must move into your town! I warn you though, I will drag you out for lunch on an almost consistent basis!
:0)
