This week's questions are from Seriously Shawn

{1} What is the best or worst pick up line you have ever been given?
{2} What is your most and least favorite day of the week?
{3} How many hours of sleep do you require each night?
{4} Is there a song that takes you back in time? What song is it & what's the memory attached?
{5} What is your biggest guilty pleasure?

Here are my answers...

{1} What is the best or worst pick up line you have ever been given?
This is gonna sound stupid, but I can't think of a single line ever before Big Daddy. I just don't think about men and that stuff from my past. It is weird to me. However...when Big Daddy and I went to Disneyland the first time together, before we were married. He looked me up and down and said, "Damn girl, people are gonna think I must have money for a guy like me to land a woman like you." I don't know what it was but it made me giggle and I felt super sexy the rest of the day. And actually to this very day he makes me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world.

{2} What is your most and least favorite day of the week?
Saturday...FAVORITE, because Big Daddy is off work on weekends.
Monday...LEAST FAVORITE, because Big Daddy goes back to work.

{3} How many hours of sleep do you require each night?
Wait, what is sleep again?

{4} Is there a song that takes you back in time? What song is it & what's the memory attached?
REO Speedwagon's "Can't Fight This Feeling"...this is gonna sound 7 shades of lame, but it is the song that made me realize I was suppose to marry Big Daddy. I was actually praying about accepting a marriage proposal from a man I fell hard and fast for in like a month of knowing him (a hunky firefighter will do that to a girl). Loud and clear I heard "Paul", not kidding. I looked up and said out loud, "Wait, we are friends remember?" THEN this song came on ♫ What started out as friendship has grown stro-ah-ah-ahn-ger-er-er...♫ and I KNEW he was the one. Like with every fiber of my being K-N-E-W. So one day we were hanging out (as friends) and I said, "So I guess I am suppose to marry you. His response, "What took you so long?" My dad was thrilled, he knew Paul was "the one" the first time he met him...my dad is rarely, if ever, wrong.

{5} What is your biggest guilty pleasure?
Reality TV...if it is someone else's business I want to know it. I love me some Real Housewives of Anywhere (except Miami...snooze fest). My slight obsession with reality TV began with Cops, back in the 80's. THEN Real World on MTV and I was hooked. Bring on Toddler's and Tiaras, yep total time suck, I will never get those hours back...go ahead and judge me...it is MY guilty pleasure.

Having a BLAST here with MiMi and Myya and their kids...today we are at Micke Grove Zoo. Good times. Are you following the MiMyMa Retreat on Facebook?

I predict a trend with the days of the week.

That is our song, too!

And I can't believe that I forgot about reality TV! Love it!

I used to watch tons of reruns of Cops. The funniest thing was watching episodes and knowing where it is taking place- guess that happens when you live near Sacramento- right??

I've long gotten over the fact that reality TV is so "bad". LOL. But I too am guilty of watching it.

Damn! I didn't even think of reality tv! I'm so hooked! The Housewives, Jerseylicious, The Real World...I love them all lol!

Awww...your man is so sweet! If that came out of my hubs' mouth, I think I'd have to take his temperature. LOL

Ditto on the days, but for a little different reasons.

I feel bad for people who don't sleep - how do you do it? How do you get it all done with so little sleep?

Great story to a great song! And how funny that he already "knew" and was just waiting for you to come around.

LOVE reality TV. I have a new show about a nail salon owner waiting for me on my DVR. It was the hubs' idea for me to watch, but I have a feeling I'll dig it.

Happy Wednesday!

I love Big Daddy stories! He sounds like the perfect husband (sooooo jealous!)

I was so hooked on Real World...until I was older than those clowns. Then they all just seemed stupid. A friend of mine was almost the token gay guy. Almost.

I agree about RHofMiami... and they are not coming back. Neither is DC.
I DVR Toddlers and Tiaras, My Big Fat Gypsie Wedding and all the Housewives.

Ummm...Does Big Daddy have a single brother by any chance? I read your posts sometimes and think, "Man, I gotta get me a dude like THAT!!"

REO Speedwagon. Excellent. (And another sweet story to boot!!)

Aww, I love your story about Big Daddy being The One; I'm such a sucker for romance!

And, I knew there was a reason why I feel like we could be friends IRL, lol! Reality shows just seem to bond people! :-P

Awesomest line ever. He is a gem. Dig the story about the song too.

And now that song is rolling through my brain. Rad.

Sleep. I knew you'd say something like that.

Toddlers and tiaras could totally be me, and real housewives? I'm right there with ya.

Fun q&a this week.

I had a hard time remembering pick-up lines too--it's been a really long time since I was in a position to be picked up.
I have so many songs that take me back. Back to great memories, and back to sad ones too. Songs are good that way.
Have fun at the zoo. Wish I was zooing it up with you all!

80's bands ROCKED... guess they were before and after too... but Love them!!

Mrs. S said...

Yup, I love reality tv!

Rachel said...

Toddlers in Tiaras totally tries to suck me in but I resist!! OK sometimes I cannot resist..the one that really gets me is 16 and pregnant. I cannot tear myself away from that train wreck. I want to see them succeed so badly I cheer them on from my couch and feel so let down when they don't succeed. It is so bad..LOL Its a good thing I don't know them I would probably gather them all under my wing and they'd form a camp at my house or something...I always think they would be ok If someone just supported them..

Aw! See, that's what a proper pick-up line should do... it should make you feel good. (Even if he's already picked you up.) :) Love it!
HA! I love REO Speedwagon. Makes me think of the roller rink.
I have a little Real Housewives of NY, um, problem...

Not Just Another Mother Blogger! said...

LOL! REO Speedwagon had some great power ballads back in the day. My favorite one by those guys is "Roll with the Changes", because it reminds me to let things go.

Screaming Sardine said...

Awww, that is such a sweet thing that Big Daddy said. What a man! Too bad there aren't more like him. :)

Cheers,

I'm not usually a fan of reality TV, but have you seen My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding? It's like the UK's version of Jersey Shore. A train wreck that once you look at it, you can't look away. I got sucked in a few weeks ago by it and can't stop watching now.

Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore is a totally awesome song!

And yes, sometomes sleep sounds like a fond memory to me. Thankfully not in the last week or two, but usually.

Beth said...

I have a request.
Can Big Daddy open a training school for men, and teach them the ways of awesome?
The world (and us single women) could REALLY use that.
Thanks! :D

Love the questions and all of your answers tonight! I actually wasn't planning on linking up this week, but the questions are so good that I think I'll just have to. ;)

Oh and btw, COPS was and still is the only actual reality TV show. lol

Weekends are so short aren't they? But they do make us appreciate time with our love ones even more.

Wishing that you'll have a good weekend!

Crazymamaof6 said...

geeze that sucks . I finally played along. but failed to link up in time. seriously? TIMED OUT! oh well. fun questions.

Shawn said...

How sweet that your pick up line actually came from your hubby.

I hear ya, not being able to sleep really sucks!

I don't watch much TV, my oldest watches Real Housewives and as much as I cannot stand it and I find it ridiculous it does suck me in.

Have fun with the girls and their kiddos!

Mandi @ Southern Gnome said...

I won't judge you. I love nothing more than to sit down with a big ol' glass o' wine and The Real Housewives. (Although I do prefer NJ or NY.) Nothing makes me feel more classless but more relaxed at the same time. Hope you are enjoying your week.

Love love the line BigDaddy used in Disney. And love how you knew to marry him-how wonderful is that.
