This quote was sent to me by a dear friend:

She wrote me a beautiful letter full of love, support and encouragement.
It was EXACTLY what I needed at EXACTLY the right time. HAPPY
I am so deeply grateful for her friendship.

I love that quote and something that is so true. It reminds me of a quote from a Tyler Perry play, from Madea of course. Who says people in our lives are like trees, some are the leaves looking pretty and when a swind blows they are gone. Some are branches, they look steady but when you put real weight on them they tend to break and real friends are the roots. They go deep and don't have to be out in the open all them time for us or others to know they are there. They hang on for us when we don't have the strength to hang on for ourselves.

It's nice when friends do unexpected things when you really need them. A couple weeks ago I was having a horrible day and I was broke and my friend, Pete, showed up in my office and basically hauled me away to a lunch he paid for. It really made my week! Have a good weekend.

Loved our phone chat even if some of the time I didn;t know which one of you I was talking to. ha ha ha. Also, my ladies keep talking about you like they have met you a million times. so nonchalantly like we are going to (your name) house this Summer. We are going to have so much fun! Then the little one runs around just repeating your name over & over & over. SOOOO stinkin cute! Can't wait Can't wait CAN'T WAIT!!!

Hurray for the retreat! Few things are more relaxing than time with just the girls.

When your retreat is ovah, will you put up a ticker until when you get to see ME? You can use the pic of you and amy squishing my face with your boobs as the little icon that moves across a timeline of all the good food we'll be eating. Yes. There WILL be pie. Free apples, anyone? Tell carla to hit the farmers market for peaches! hahaha
