I Confess...
I love love love Friday Confessional.
Really, I do.
I love how many people link up!
I love how for the most part people who link up also go and visit other linker-uppers
(confessers? bloggers who confess? you know...linker uppers)
It is a super fun bloggy community, this whole Friday Confessional thing.
And, well, I LOVE it!
I Confess...
I look forward to it every week.
Most weeks I even start my confessional post early.
Like the day I am writing this right now...it is Sunday 3.6.11.
I like to go back and add to it throughout the week.
I am kind of anal like that.
So it is something I think about during the week.
Crazy, right?
I Confess...
There IS something about Friday Confessional that I don't like.
In fact I kinda hate it.
I know hate is a strong word.
But, I kinda do.
My least favorite part of Friday Confessionals is fixing links on Mister Linky.
I hate it.
When people link up their blog address instead of their Friday Confessional post.
I need to go and fix it.
So that people looking to read a Friday Confessional don't have to hunt a blog looking for it.

But after I click the title of my Friday Confessional post it looks like this:
The second url is the one you should put in mister linky.
Easy, right?
I Confess...
I spend a lot of time fixing links.
You see, I have to go to mister linky.
Click edit.
Visit the blog.
Search for the Friday Confessional Post.
Click on it.
Grab the link.
And
Change it.
I Confess...
I would so much rather spend that time reading and commenting on Friday Confessionals.
I am left very little time to do this if i have to do all of the above.
So...
Could you please do me a favor and link up your actual confessional post?

The hate mail I got for asking people to link correctly and in reaction to Glamazon's Friday Confession last week DID hurt my feelings.
BUT
I also confess I am pretty sure there are more people who love me than hate me, including Glamazon, who does not need to be protected by you, soooo....
To the haters, feel free to click on by my blog and I promise not to visit yours.
I will just delete your link unless you do it correctly.

I am 99.9% positive that I linked correctly but it is 3 am. :) I am sorry people hurt your feelings, sometimes I really hate how anonymous the internet makes people feel. I doubt they would say half the things they say if they had to do it face to face. People are dumb.
I always start my Friday Confessional days in advance and add as I think of things to confess!! If I had to think of all my confessions on Thursday night ... baaaaad idea!!

Afte reading Glamazon's confession last week I can't believe that you change everyone's link! You are seriously nicer than me...I would never do that...people should be grown enough to do it correctly...sorry if I was ever the person to do it incorrectly. I admit I am still fairly new to the blogging world, but I think I can handle that much :) there will always be negative Nelly's rude rudabegas <---I can't really think of anything else who want to make us unhappy. I think your great and a nice and happy person and I like that, and I like you!!! So blah to the rude rudabegas!

I try to start my confessions early this week but never got a chance, so I am completely random this week.
I'm sorry to hear that you got angry mail about the blog links but I really appreciate that you go through and fix them, to be honest when I click on a link that takes me just to the blog, unless it's someone I know I just click off of it. I'm there to read the confessionals, yanno?
So like I said, I appreciate that you go through and fix people who don't grasp that you need to link up with the actual post and screw anyone who says otherwise. :)

I usually write my confessions throughout the week also!!! And I can not believe you got hate mail about the "linky" tutorial! People should be thankful you taught them how to do it right, I defiantly would not be changing the links for them after that! They would be getting the old DELETE button!!!

I confess I'm a lot less forgiving about following directions than you. When I held my giveaway, if people didn't properly or didn't leave an email address (no reply commenters) they just didn't get entered.
You don't have time to fix someone's sloppy work, and you shouldn't have to. Is that mean? I'm sorry.
I was so excited about my first Friday Confessional that I started it yesterday. It was fun.
I think people that send hate mail to you are losers. Delete them...hahaha.
I think it's nice that you edit. I follow a DIY linky party every week, and the host doesn't even remove links that go to total spam sites. It's really annoying, and totally rude of the people who add their blog to the linky party just to get a few more hits.
If they're new to blogging, I totally get it. I used to make the same mistake. I also used to respond to comments in my comments! *GASP* But I've learned from my mistakes.
I hate the people that link up their blog because they're doing a giveaway and not whatever the link is for. It makes me want to send them hate mail. I'm sorry that you received hate mail? Want me to take care of them? I will. Just for you.
I play with the rules. It's not that hard. And it is annoying to go to visit and not even see a Friday confessional, just get some random post. I'm sure they're lovely bloggers, but I came for the confession, not everything else.
You got haters after saying that?? That is so stupid! Your meme, your blog, your rules, if people don't want to play along then they shouldn't. I had someone link up their blog once that didn't even do anything remotely close to what the meme was about they were just trying to get traffic and I definitely deleted them.
I think people appreciate your boldness and honesty more than you know... Gotta think of what I'm willing to confess in my post for my first time to link up!! :)

I make little notes throughout the week on my phone when I do something stupid and confession worthy!
And don't mind the crap-heads. Just keep on truckin' baby!
i need to start keeping notes. because I have milliseconds of pure genius and then forget when it's time to write them down.
I confess that I just screwed up by tabbing and it put my link in the Happy List box instead of the Confessions box. Oops... don't hate me ok? LOL
Boo to hate mail! I can understand emailing if confused, or thanking for clarification, but to send email JUST to make someone feel bad? That's a ridiculous waste of time and energy!

I generally link up right but my favorite part of Mister Linky is that sometimes I will enter my blog name and then hit 'tab' to go the URL thing and it zooms me down to the Mister Linky from the previous week. Mister Linky is always trying to trip me up. I may just have to declare him my arch nemesis.
People can really suck.

Linking up correctly is a learning process and I'm sure you would, and have been, forgiving to many but there comes a time when they need to figure it out on their own.

You know what? The first time I linked, I linked to my blog address, but then I realized (by linking to others' blogs) that I had done it wrong! I didn't know how to fix the link, but I felt so bad that I didn't update the blog for the rest of the weekend...lol. This just makes me mad. Before I read all the way down I was thinking, "she is so nice to fix all of those links, most people would just delete them if people can't follow the rules!" Then I read that you're getting hate mail because people can't follow rules which are the same for almost every meme/blog carnival/hop etc....and are VERY simple rules?! WHAT is wrong with people? That is crazy. I'm sorry you're dealing with that.
