I am in St. George Utah. My grandma passed away on Wednesday. She was 91 and had been going peacefully for the last few days with her 4 kids by her side. She is in heaven now with my grandpa who has been waiting for her.
On my Happy List this week...
I KNOW that I will be with my Grandma and those who have gone to heaven before me again someday.
I get to see family who I haven't seen in a long time, funny how we can all drop things for a funeral but life gets in the way of a reunion. That needs to be fixed.
Spontaneous road trip. Just me and Big Daddy. I love a good road trip, junk food, music, adventures on the open road...hours and hours to talk about out future together, how we will spend the Lottery that we never play but dream of winning...good times. I love a road trip!
Jordan is taken care of and won't be going with us, we just don't feel like she needs to miss any school.
Big Daddy's cousin and her family will be staying at our house to take care of our puppy Coco and our 2 cats. This is a HUGE blessing. I mean what can we do with a new puppy? Can't kennel her because she hasn't had all of her shots. Can't send her to stay with anyone who has dogs, cuz she hasn't had all of her shots. AND the thought of making her travel for 10 hrs to sit in a hotel room didn't feel fair. Soooo knowing someone will be here with her, loving her and taking care of her is such a comfort.
Big Daddy has a job that allows him bereavement time. So he was able to take the time off to travel with me without having to use his vacation time. What a wonderful blessing.
Last weeks Happy List linky party had the most participants to date. This makes me very happy. I would love to see it double in size as the weeks go by. Link up your happy list EVERY weekend. It is a great way to end or start the week...on a HAPPY note.

It must be comforting to know that she is in heaven with your grandpa:-)
We always talk about what we would do with lottery money too...and we never play
So sorry to hear about your Grandma - I hope the funeral goes well. I'm positive she was an amazing lady.
I love St. George - we are headed there next weekend - too bad it wasn't this week :-(
We play the lottery game too! All the time - even though our choices never really change.
have a safe trip!
Ahhh the Lottery, that is in our dreams too :)
Hope you have a wonderful time celebrating your grandma & visiting with family. I'm sure in 91 years she had an amazing life!

What a fun site! I am always saddened to hear when a loved one passes away. Certainly gives us time to pause and count our blessings and remember all the good that a person brings in to our lives, and how our lives were changed the moment they entered and how they will never be the same the moment they leave, but knowing without a doubt we will be reunited once again. Thanks for your thoughts and kindness expressed in your blog. Sorry about your Grandma. :)
