Going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo

Camp Vasquez...a week every year where we host some of our nephews wen their parents and older siblings attend Girls Camp and Scout Camp.

We love this part of our Summer.

I have so many pictures of so many adventures to share with you. I will not be sharing them in chronological order. I am just not feeling like being so hyper organized.

The day we went to Micke Grove Zoo was actually toward the end of our week together, but let me tell you it was at the tops in terms of a fun fun fun day!

The Zoo is shaded, clean, lovely.

This good looking man is not included, but if you want to have a lot of fun I miiiight let you borrow him for an afternoon. Look at that smile...meow!

For the first 2 pictures the littlest kids were convinced this was an actual LIVE tortoise. And YES that is Big Daddy in the last picture...J was far "too cool" to pose for a picture. Keep scrolling I got her in a few shots below...you're welcome.
MGTcollage
Here the kids are checking their "wingspan" to see what kind of bird they match up with...ahem, really there are pics of J coming up...keep scrolling.

Checking the maps...cruising along, enjoying the gorgeous day.

Check out the pic in the lower left corner of this collage. My nephew Tyler sees comedy in everything. This is a sign with a picture of a hand holding a cup of nectar for the Lorikeets, he thought this was good for a laugh. I am kind of an easy laugh, but honestly this cracked me up.

Feeding the Lorikeets was the highlight of the entire day...seriously awesome.

Here is Zachary, showing his skills...
LoZcollage
Steven, Brock and Parker holdling their cups of nectar for the Lorikeets...
Lolocollage
Tyler laughing and enjoying ALL of it, even getting pooped on...oh the hilarity that continued...
LoTycollage
A Couple of lovebirds...the kids weren't sure if it was a husband and wife or not.
LOlovecollage
Yes, even I tried out my hand at feeding some birds...tho, I must admit, it didn't end well.
LoHoCollage
Oh yeah, here is my little girl...check out the cuteness of her Lorikeet experience.
JLoCollage
A little video goodness of Zachary and Parker dancing with one of the black and orange Lorikeets.

Yes, it was an fantastic day, filled with memory making experiences. I love these kids, all of them (not sure why I look orange in this pic, but everyone else is cute so it got posted)

Stay tuned for even more Camp Vasquez goodness...

Looks like you all had a super time. It's been years since we visited the zoo. Hmmm perhaps maybe before the summer is over.

The Lorkeets were the coolest thing at the Denver Zoo, too! So fun! The birds here look much more friendly, though! The picture of Ty is so funny.

Looks like a super fun day! Wish we hadn't been too pooped to hit the zoo while we were there, but I think the animals in the backseat were happy to go home and nap. I know I was!

We love Micke Grove. I love the park it is in, so nice and shady and lots of room for running around. We always hit up the old rides also. It is a fun and pretty inexpensive day and not to far away.

Looks like everyone had a blast.

Looks like a great time had by all! I did something like the bird experience when I was a kid. I bet my girls would love that!

How fun! I wish we had a zoo in Spokompton.

When I saw the title, I went straight to the Monty Python sketch.
