S'mores!

One of my favorite things in my in laws garden is their fire pit. We love to get a fire going and hang out around that pit and just enjoy each other's company. The best thing about the "pit" is that it is just an old weber without legs with some pavers around it, we don't need no fancy pits y'all!!

When the kids are with us this time turns into S'more, songs and stories. The boys had just spent a week at Scout Day Camp so the program was looooooooong and funny...here is a very small sample of the goodness...

why yes, that is Parker TEXTING again...the phone
was new, it was in his hands All. Week. Long.
toasting up some goodness

looks like the sugary goodness is already working its magic
Steven likes his black!
Big Daddy in charge of passing out the goods
(looking hot in my father in law's sweats)
mmm...sticky sweetness
deeeeeeeeelicious!
don't wanna miss a lick!
ahhh the good life!
I am so excited that Big Daddy and I are going to spend a long weekend (sans children) soaking up the goodness of my in laws and their awesome B&B this holiday weekend...bring on the S'mores baby!

Clearly, Cub Scout day camp is so much cooler there than it is here!

OMG I'm almost willing to facedown the squad of mosquitoes camping outside my doors to go make a campfire in that cute little campfire thingy we have but never use, just to have s'mores! Those looked yummy!

AWESOME!! That's one of the main things I look forward to while camping. Well, that and getting away from the boys, if only for a night.

We had smores this weekend too.
Looking at these pictures makes me want more though.

I love smores! but I'm very particular. The chocolate has to be melted not hard. So I melt it onto the cracker before I put the marshmallow on it. Then, they are just sooooooooooooooo good!

You're making me feel incredibly guilty that I let my son make them in the microwave.
