On Being Sexy...

This weeks post on the dreaded muffin top got lots of emails and some interesting comments. So I thought I would take a minute and address one thing in particular.

On being sexy...like super sexy. I said I love my body and I do.

BUT

I gotta tell you it's my husband who helps me feel that way.

I mean, really, the man cannot keep his hands off me and I LOVE it!

Big Daddy tells me everyday how beautiful and sexy I am (and he even means it).

EVERYDAY!! And more than once or twice even...

Yep it is pretty easy to believe that maybe I really am and that kind of hotness comes from within but you gotta believe it too.

AND...if my man likes the view then I must be doing something right!

Yesterday he even broke out in song, Trace Adkins' "Hot Mama" when I walked into the room!

And trust me I was in the middle of a major project and I was not looking my hottest.

Doesn't matter...to him I am one hot mama...always.

It's awesome how men REALLY see a woman, when they really love that woman.

If you don't have someone telling you daily how hot you are, then BE that person.

I mean really...doesn't it start from the inside out?

Here's to all the Hot Mamas out there.

What are you doing to keep it sexy?

I love it!!

For me... I try to get dressed from head to toe every day. {even on those tough days and it's nearly 6:00pm} for me it's good jsut to get dressed and do my hair and make-up.

Although to be honest... when the husband was in over seas, I would only get dressed rom the waist up. That's all he usually saw on Skyp :)

awww! looove it!!! hubby used to tell me this stuff but apparently me telling him "no i'm not" numerous times led him to believe he doesn't need to tell me it anymore, even though i love to hear it!! LOL

since i've lost weight, i feel HOTTER and would love to hear it more from him!

a woman can be HOT at any size!!

I LOVE that song and Mr. Atkins too! Sexy, hmmm, I think I've forgotten how to do that. Sometimes I "frilly" myself up with the hair and makeup and sometimes The Hubby will notice. Maybe today will be one of those days. I need the inspiration and found it here. Thanks

I have to fight my husband off with a stick too. I don't do anything very special with my appearance. I think he just loves me so much he finds me sexy. :0)

What a good man you have! My husband is the same way. He even flirts with me via text and email sometimes, just to let me know that I'm always on his mind. I agree though. I have a TON more self confidence since we've been married, because he can't keep his hands to himself. In fact, my boys have started whistling when I bend over to pick something up, because they hear it so much. Guess it's better that the kids know we like each other, right?

This is so completely true from a women's perspective because we are flooded with images of what we think men want and yet deep inside we know that there has to be something more. Cheers to the men that accept their women the way they are.

my hubs is NOT overly complimentary. but he doesn't keep his hands to himself either (obviously).

my biggest issue has always been gracefully accepting a compliment and not automatically discounting them from anyone. which i've always done.

i have a quote i found in vinyl. that i love.

"if you are confident then you are beautiful".

UM HELLO?!! i so needed to hear that like forever ago. i pump it into my girls brains.

it's true, if you carry yourself with confidence, like you think you are attractive others(especially men) think you are beautiful. if you carry yourself like you aren't all that. they sense it and go with that vibe.

i'm a fake it til i make it girl. it works.

also i get a cheap thrill out of getting hit on and checked out by guys at the store/gas station/school.

it's flattering that guys still check me out at this size, after having 6 kids and thyroid cancer. let's be real. even if they are only scoping out the cleavage.

best part of the last post was the song. Pierce sings along now. big girls you are beautiful. someday he'll be a boob man all about the big girls.

I am married to the most wonderful beautiful woman. That will always be true. I appreciate her and everything she does. We work together to accomplish goals (most of the time). She is an awesome person that puts so much effort into making our little corner of the world a better place that she doesn't remember to focus on herself enough. Sweetie, you are important to me and I love you. Your dedication to our family is but one small part of what makes you so sexy. Your inner confidence shows as well as your love for your family. Your sense of humor and the fact that so many times we think the same thing and know it without saying it. This all comes together to make you the wonderful, beautiful sexy woman you are.
I love you.

Wow! What a sweet post! Your hubby is amazing! My hubby showers me in compliments as well. It's my insecurities that don't let me believe it and that hurts his feelings. It's something I REALLY need to work on. I got to listen and believe what CrazyMama wrote about being confident, etc. I really need to change my attitude, but it's so hard. I need to change it for my husband and most definitely for my children! I want them to be confident and self assured!

I'm embracing the sweat. Yeah that sounds totally gross but whatever. I'm not "letting myself go" or anything, but it is freaking hot and humid here in the summer, and I think it's more beautiful to get over being sweaty and enjoy being outside anyway. Otherwise, I'd just stress over how gross my ponytail looks, or avoid grass every time I'm in flip flops because there's a chance it might be wet and I hate the feeling of wet grass on my feet. I can't live like that. I'd rather feel gross and enjoy the beauty that surrounds me....and (in this case) let the beauty work from the outside IN!

I've heard that husbands come to think of their wife as the most beautiful woman.
