Mamarazzi In The Hospital

Last Wednesday Mamarazzi was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital Modesto. She was admitted into ICU. Friday she was transferred to Emanuel Medical Center, Turlock and today she will be moving to a step-down unit, PCU, at Emanuel..
She is asking that she have no visitors right now, but well wishes through prayers and blog/Facebook comments are appreciated.

Under Construction

Where have I been? I have a good excuse really...things have been a little B-A-N-A-N-A-S around here. We have begun a little home remodel. Jordan's bathroom was the first on the list. She has never had a working shower and has always just used our bathroom...which was no big deal since she showers at night. My in laws, who own this house and have rented it for several years, decided it was time to change that and give the kid a shower of her own. Cool right? Well that turned into a new vanity, sink and toilet. They also decided to do a few more things around here...so we hired a contractor to come and start knocking things off the list. Meet John...and his mess. I don't think he knew exactly what he was getting into with this old house but he has greeted each obstacle with a smile and a good attitude...and best of all he cleans up his mess at the end of every work day. I love that!

I wish I had taken a good "before" picture of the bathroom, instead the first shots are part way through demolition...oh well you can get an idea...
in order to plumb for a shower in J's bathroom John had to go through our bedroom wall. He realized that the old galvanized plumbing was going to be a bugger, but he worked his magic and J now has a shower in her bathroom. Very cool.

I will get some after pics up soon...

John has also widened an entry way into our front family room (makes an incredible difference), put baseboards up where we layed tiled 2 yrs ago, put bead board and new baseboards up in the dining area, replaced our toilet (our bathroom will be remodeled next) and did a few other little "honey do" (if your honey can) list things...checking things off the list...and really happy about it!

Thanks to my awesome in laws for all they are doing to make our home more comfy.
