We had a great day celebrating Big Daddy on Father's Day. My awesome in laws came to town and we had an amazing time. Big Daddy loved the darling and thoughtful card that J composed for him and also loved the fact that she gave him guitar hero for Wii (
it has been ordered and is on it's way) with a playful, "and daddy I am going to totally kick your butt". Awww they are so cute together!

After Big Daddy opened his card we hit the road to Jamestown where we explored Railtown State Historic Park. What a beautiful place, I cannot believe we have never been there with it so close to home. We have plans to go again and take the train ride and spend a day enjoying the park.

Once we got home we enjoyed playing games, followed by a dip in the pool and a deeeeelicious BBQ lunch. I am so glad my in laws were able to come and spend the day with us, we love when they come to town. My mother in law brought me these gorgeous roses from
Georgia's Garden. They are soooo pretty...I wish these pictures did them justice. Thanks Carla!

It was a wonderful day...I am so thankful for the fantastic example of my own father growing up so I could know who to look for in my future husband and father of my children. Big daddy is a wonderful man and an excellent father who takes his responsibility of being a good dad to Jordan very seriously. I have seen this incredible man lose sleep, spend hours praying and really weigh all sides of a situation before making decisions on his daughter's behalf...for what will really be in her best interest. He loves her, it is a love that I know myself because my dad was this kind of dad too...he still is. I pray that when the time comes and J is out there looking for her happily ever after that she will look for a man as good as her daddy, it worked for me and if she is even half as happy as we are then life is beautiful.

I love how close your family is, it's so refreshing! It seems that everything I read (outside of bloggyland) is Jon and Kate are divorcing, Chris Brown beats Rhianna... it's nice to know that there are REAL families out there..
I can tell those flowers are awesome! And I know J will find a wonderful man like her daddy, because that's what she knows. What a wonderful gift you, as the mom, have given her (in her daddy), a great example! You guys are so cute in those pictures! And my husband would be jealous of the Rockband...
