Grandparents That Rock!

We got rained out this weekend so we decided to head for Paul's folks. Jordan was super excited to go and have a visit with Grandma and Grandpa and we were thrilled too. We left as soon as J got out of school on Friday and arrived just in time for dinner.

First of all you should know...we call Grandma and Grandpa's house the North Pole...they like to keep things chilly...to us it is pretty much freeeeezing. So the first thing on the agenda was to help Grandpa start a fire.

J was glad to help get this going

while I snacked (gorged) on Mexican Ceviche...mmm
and grandma made her famous warm-my-heart grilled cheese goodness on sourdough bread, my all time favorite comfort food and she is the master!

after dinner we all went out and enjoyed the swim spa as it drizzled and the wind blew and Big daddy entertained us as he tried to stand still against the quick current

J held on tight as the current pushed her

after a nice hot shower we had warm berry pie and ice cream

the next day we got up and had a YUMMY breakfast casserole then went shopping. Grandma bought Jordan a few super cute designer outfits and a new purse...spoiled? Why yes, yes she is..but that's what Grandma's do, right?

We came home and had a great afternoon hanging out, playing games and just enjoying each other's company...it was a great time had by all!
