the fishful thinking site is great! i had no idea that less than half of kids think they'll be able to achieve their goals, what happened to youthful optimism?? anyway, i think the site has some great tips to help parents help their kids maintain or gain optimism for their future!
I went to fishful thinking and I liked the activity to teach "hope" to children ages 3-6. Basically letting them lead the way when going somewhere familiar, asking them to find different routes. Not only is it good for self esteem but it's also a good safety tip. Children should always be taught to pay attention to landmarks and street sings!

I learned how important it is to constantly be encouraging my kids to have positive attitudes. I think the biggest thing I learned after taking the quiz is how much they listen and follow my example and their actions will reflect that, so I must be constantly aware of my OWN attitude!!

I've always believed in the power of optimism and sometimes parents do lack the initiative to teach their children about it. I'm glad that there is such a thing as Fishful Thinking to guide parents in teaching their kids optimism because this will be an invaluable tool in their lives.

Now, for the Fishful Thinking! I love the whole idea of this site. It gives us all a way to connect, grow, and learn. I know my children came without instructions.. I'm sure they all came without instructions. Some of the most import skills we can teach our children are so basic.. pride, individuality, strength, and compassion.

On livelovebead, I loved the Three Strand Pearl and Crystal Bracelet and the Triple Vine Hairpin. Everything was gorgeous though.
I learned on Fishful Thinking that hope is future-oriented thinking that combines goals thinking with pathways thinking and agency thinking...who knew SO many kinds of thinking were involved with hope?? I didn't...I just try to have it! :) I don't have kids yet, but when I do, I hope to raise them with a lot of these positive ideas.

I love the Ivory Pearl and Swarovski Crystal Bridal Hair Vine. I also stopped by fishful thinking and read an article entitled "what not to say to your children" and I learned that when a child is praised for being smart he is apt to be less successful in school for fear that he will look unintelligent. very interesting article. I also took the quiz. my child seems to have very good problem solving skills. I also am following your blog now, not only because of the giveaway but because I think you have good things to say and you are intesting!
