Cooking with Jordan! #20 Lime Dill Crusted Salmon

Time for another episode of Cooking with Jordan. You can view earlier episodes by clicking on these links Preview, One Dish Mexican, Grilled Chicken, Cooking(?) with Daddy, Tortellini Soup , Teriyaki Chicken, Buffalo Chicken Bites, Parmesan Chicken Pasta With Broccoli, Garbage Casserole, Cheeseburger Pie, Golden Crusted Chicken Asparagus Lasagna, Baked Rigatoni, Tuna Noodle Casserole, BBQ Beef Crumble, Feel Better Chicken Noodle Soup, Faux Sushi,Chicken Pot Pie on the Fly, Chicken and Dumplings, Egg Nog Pie, BBQ Beef Cups and Beef Pot Pie w/ Corn Bread Crust. The whole point of the cooking lessons for J is to show her some basic easy meals, teach her how to plan a menu, learn how to follow a recipe and help her become more comfortable in the kitchen...this is not anything totally gourmet or culinary school worthy. We hope you enjoy Cooking With Jordan and try these recipes with your kids. They are totally J approved!

Since Spring has sprung we decided to do a little outdoor grilling. J has wanted to learn how to BBQ for a while so I thought this was the perfect first "grill recipe" to teach her.

Lime Dill Crusted Salmon
lay salmon fillets on aluminum foil
make sure to leave enough on the ends to create a "tent"
saturate salmon with lime juice
sprinkle with garlic salt (we can't cook without it)
cover salmon with dill weed
sprinkle with lemon pepper
loosely gather foil into tent shape and seal closed
grill on med low for 6-10 minutes
you will know it is done when it flakes apart with a fork
J likes hers with mashed potatoes and of course broccoli
YUM! You are going to love this EASY and delicious way to eat salmon!

Yummy! I love salmon and have even managed to get the fam eating seafood (which wasn't easy). I think I'll give this a try next time.

That looks awesome! I bet J thinks thats just the greatest, cooking with you & showing her the ropes of the kitchen?! How cool is that?!

Take care!! ;0)

I love salmon. I have never tried it on the grill but with spring her and warmer weather this looks like a must. Good job x

I love you both very much!

Sounds wonderful - although I am not much for "cooked" salmon - I prefer mine raw and in sushi!
Wish I had a clever little cook! :)

Sure wish I'd seen this earlier! I baked salmon for dinner last night and it had such a strong fishy taste to it that I couldn't eat it. Your recipe sounds like something my whole family would enjoy! I will definitely give it a whirl the next time!

Good thing I don't like seafood or I'd have to come steal this away from you all! It looks SO GOOD!!

Hey, I just wanted to apologize. I feel like such a heel. Ya, I have excuses. . . went out of town, got sick, working on printing my blog, etc etc. BUT, that's no excuse for being LAME! I swear I'm totally into doing fishful thinking. Things have just been a little weird and I'm out of my element when it comes to getting online and responding to emails, etc. Here's to a great week ahead! Forgive me?

Yummy! I think Jordan is so lucky to have a mom who is teaching her such useful skills.

I am helping to kick off a new project today and would love to have you join us! If you get a chance stop by and see if you are interested!

Have a great day!

Love the pictures. I will definitely try the salmon. Sounds excellent. I would like the chicken too. I don't usually eat hot sauce but a little under the breading sounds yummy.
Thanks. Bon appetite.
