Another Goal Executed!

Jordan is a goal setter. She loves to challenge herself to try new things. Jordan has not always been this way. When she was younger she was terrified of "the unknown". Things like elevators and escalators scared her to death. Getting her to try new things was a BIG challenge for us. She was 10 years old when she did her first somersault because she "was afraid to go upside down". Let's just say this kid has come a long way in the last few years, and she will be the first to tell you just how far she has come. She has set BIG and small goals for herself and is checking things off her list daily.

At Christmas Jordan received a 500 piece puzzle from her BFF Emma. She let it sit for a while unopened as she prepared herself to take on the challenge. The day finally came and she set a goal to accomplish the puzzle. Over the course of 6 weeks she worked on it, a little each day, until it was finally complete. I made a post HERE about the following conversation:

Whenever she is in her game room watching her TV she is also working on a puzzle. Today I asked her about the puzzle noticing that she had really made some progress on it this weekend. She said, "This is a hard one. I keep telling myself not to give up!" First I told her how impressed I was with her "stick-to-it-ness" and then asked her if she wanted a little help. She smiled and said, "No thanks, I really like the feeling I get when I finish something that was hard to do."

Serious proud mama moment. I love this kid and I love the way she thinks.

Go Jordan! I love working on puzzles - every Christmas growing up my parents would have a puzzle set up in the living room to work on. Such a great way to keep your brain thinking while watching tv :)

You should be proud, she seems to be a very mature and level headed young lady.
You should buy some of that Puzzle Glue and glue the pieces together then frame it. The horse design is really pretty, I bet it would look great on the wall of the game room.

Wow, and that would have been a hard one with all that brown! My hubby and I tried one the other year with a bunch of horses running through the snow. It was one big blob of brown and white. We gave up :o Way to go Jordan!
