Randoms 'round Here...

Last night I found myself getting really frustrated over something Big Daddy was doing and in the middle of my little fit I stopped and said, "I am so tired of having this argument over and over with you in my head because I keep forgetting to bring it up when you are around!" We both almost fell over laughing. I love that he totally "gets me" and it doesn't bother me that he never gets upset when I do stupid stuff like that. The man is a pillar of optimism and a loving and gentle reminder not to sweat the small stuff. I love that about him.

Jordan has been working on a really challenging puzzle off and on for about 4 weeks. This is the biggest most complicated puzzle that she has tried. The girl loves puzzles and does them all the time. She never just sits and watches a TV program unless we are lazing about as a family watching a movie or something. Whenever she is in her game room watching her TV she is also working on a puzzle. ANYWAY today I asked her about the puzzle noticing that she had really made some progress on it this weekend. She said, "This is a hard one. I keep telling myself not to give up!" First I told her how impressed I was with her "stick-to-it-ness" and then asked her if she wanted a little help. She smiled and said, "No thanks, I really like the feeling I get when I finish something that was hard to do." Serious proud mama moment. I love that kid.

My pregnant sister Meg is having an 8 Day Mexican Food Fiesta (check it out fast she goes private on March 1st). The girl is totally obsessed with food, she always has been and she is a size ZERO until the day she gives birth (insert me being jealous here). She has figured out how to make some food that would put Cafe Rio to shame...AND she shared the recipes on her blog. Big Daddy is jealous. He loves Mexican food and sometimes I feel like I should be better at making Mexican food (since he is half Mexican). Jordan also loved the idea of this Mexican Food Fiesta but knowing I am not the biggest fan of Mexican food she asked if we could "at least make Mexican One Dish". It is a casserole type of Mexican dish that doesn't take any time to make but gives you some of the "flavors" of Mexican food AND BONUS it is Aunt Meg's recipe...sooo tonight we made it. I have to tell you, Jordan can make this recipe without my help, she jumped right in and did it all, no problem. It MIGHT just end up being my new "go to meal" on days that I don't feel like cooking. Here is the RECIPE ! It just so happens it was also the FIRST thing J made for her Cooking With Jordan episodes.

We are almost done with the questions you all left for us in celebration of our 400 Posts We have been working on them over dinner for the last few nights..oh the conversations they have sparked! VERY fun! I can't wait to share the answers with y'all.

Mamarazzi's Favorite Things Swap is just around the corner. 1 week until all packages will be in the mail and L-O-V-E will be spread not only all over the United States but also New Zealand, Germany and the UK. With over 100 people participating I am impressed with how well it has all come together and how confident I feel that EVERYONE participating is on board to make this the best swap ever...so fun! I would like to know what theme I should use for the next swap I host. Please leave your suggestions and I will put a poll on my sidebar soon...I am thinking the next swap will happen in April.

Well I guess that is it for now! I hope your week is off to a great start!

PS blogger or google keep dropping people from the list of blogs I am following. THIS is REALLY frustrating. I know I also keep losing followers, I lost 11 overnight...so if you notice I have dropped off of your follower list PLEASE let me know. It's not me it's google blogger!!

You are the best Mom Ever! It's so great that J is getting so confident in the kitchen! I need to start giving my older kids some more independence in their cooking, and learn to give myself a break. LOL!

Good Morning!
You and your hubby sound just like me and my hubby...we crack up at each other when we really want to be mad!

Mexican food is my all-time favorite! I'll be heading that way!

Can't wait for the swap...thanks for all the time and hard work you've put into it! It's much appreciated!!!

wow! thanks for the shout out. Size Zero..that's a funny one. Even my maternity clothes are getting too small and I still have 3 months left.

Mmmm..we haven't had One Dish in forevah! Thanks for the reminder, I'm going to make it soon! (well, not too soon, since we will probably be ready for American food when march gets here. So far we are still lovin' da spice!

I'm actually sad for you that you aren't a lover of mexican food. I promise to make this meal for the family the next time we are together....allthough no one will eat it because it isn't a spinach and wheat germ sandwich and didn't come out of a vitamix. What's with the health kick going on over there?! They are turning into heather smurthwaite....love her-but eggplant whole wheat pizza should really be left alone.

J-post a picture of your puzzle when you finish it! I can't wait to see the finished result!

I want to know what fonzo did to piss you off. ;o)

What a proud momma! I'm the same way about my kids. I was gone over the weekend and my oldest cooked all the meals for the family while I was out of town!
I can't wait to mail my swap package! Great idea about the flat rate box, btw!

Ha! I fight with my hubby in my head all the time. It never seems as big a deal when I actually bring it up though!

Congrats on 400 posts, look forward to seeing your Q&A.

What could he have possibly done to make you yell at him in your head? Is it becuase he doesn't yell back that in your head you can just imagine what he would say to you and then you just carry the conversation until you are done? I think I will try this method. That way I can just imagine dad agreeing with me all the time that I am right.

So much good stuff all in one post!! First of all, I went "fishing" and signed up for their newsletter. Also I'm doing the questionaire thingy for my blogiversary too and yes, it really makes you think and brings back soooo many memories! I love how all three of you are answering questions! Jordan is a gem and you have every right to be proud of her!!

Big hugs and good luck hun!

Oh yeah, I lost 10 people overnight and yet had new "faces" on my follow thingy (so I know I had new adds) and yet the number was 10 less. I was really bummed so many people dumped me overnight. Blogger/Google must be having issues again. But it really bugs me to "lose" peeps!!!!

I love puzzles. My favorite series was the Buried Blueprint series, which are out of print now. I bought them all on Ebay and resold them after they were done. I still have the Robin Hood and I think the Amelia Earhardt ones if Jordan would like them!

You sure have some great cooks in your family.

That is really great about your daughter, and her stick to it til it's done attitude! Awesome.
Can't wait to get my package out in the mail to my Favorite Things partner!!

Take care! ;0)

Hey by the way where/how did you get the widget for the 'I believe in Fishful Thinking' - goldfish crackers?? Let me know, I visited the site but could not locate it.
Thanks!
