WordFUL Wednesday

This is my kid. My kid loves talking on the phone. My kid also loves to text. She spends a lot of time talking to her girlfriends. She spends a lot of time texting her girlfriends. But who does she talk to and text the most? According to our cell phone bill MY siblings. J loves her Aunties and Uncles. They are awesome. They will spend time i know they don't have talking it up with my kid. I can hear her giggling and talking on and on and on and when she hangs up she will come in and say, "Aunt Meg says hi!" or "That was Aunt Amy, she was telling me about the boys" or "Uncle Scott is really funny!" i love that. it makes me happy.

these pics are of J making herself comfy chatting it up with her Uncle Scott.
she was telling him all about her 13th Birthday Extravaganzashe stopped to listen for a minute
and he said something funny...of course he did, Uncle Scott is a funny guy.

last summer we were driving home from Idaho after a really FUN Family Reunion and J said, "You guys need to have a lot of babies so that my kids can have Aunts and Uncles. I am really lucky to have so many, i want my kids to have that too."
me too J, me too.

That is super cool she loves your siblings that way. It's a shame that's a rarity.

I'm sure this is what my future looks like. :)

Did you figure out how to save your blog? That scares the poo out of me too!

She's a true girl talking on that phone all the time!

I have an aunt that I LOVE! Her and I are closer in age than her and my mom, so we're really close. I love it.

Girls and their phones..

I love that your siblings talk with your daughter. Not to many adults would make the time to talk with a niece these days.

Good for them (and your daughter, too).

J is right, she is VERY lucky to have such great aunts and uncles! Kids need as many loving and supportive adults in their lives as possible, and it sounds like J is all set!

Yeah for Aunts and Uncles who stop and visit with a busy teenager! That is awesome! They must all be cool like YOU!

That is SO going to be Mara in about nine years!

I love that she is so close to her aunts and uncles - shes so cute!

Take care - Kellan

Texting and the teenage girl do seem to go hand finger to phone together. It's amazing. Mine racks up over 3,500 texts a month and it just boggles my mind. I'm glad that here Aunts and Uncles are the bulk though. I can't say that about my 15 year old girl. ;)

I've tagged you if you would like to swing by.

That's great that they keep in touch! I voted in your poll!

LOL! That's awesome that she has such great relationships with her aunts and uncle. My girls pretty much refuse to talk on their phones. They predominantly text. I'd rather them have "real" conversations.
Great pictures!

So how long do I have before I have to have the phone surgically removed from my kids ears? Does it start at 13 or sooner? I think that is soooo great that she is so close to her aunts and uncles. I have one sis-in-law that my kids are so attached to. I hope their relationship turns out your J's.

That's absolutely fabulous! I love it! I'm off to read the post below this one! I'm seriously lagging behind on all my blog reading!

Oh and I clicked the pink ribbon, YAY!

You happen to have the code so I can add it to my blog as well? I'm sure I'll find it myself, I'm just tired and being really lazy right now!

Thanks much!

Oh and I love the poll! If you've seen my sidebar, you already know my opinion on the things :)

I voted still though.

Great post! My daughter was the same way with her phone. As a matter of fact she now has the perfect job! She works for AT&T! I think it is wonderful your daughter has such a sense of family. What a nice thing you have instilled in her!

Also, how can I get the pink ribbon button for my site? This is a great idea. My mom is a breast cancer survivor and my good friend is taking chemo right now. I love the click campaign!

I found you from the SITS website, I thought I would say hi.
I think that is sweet that she wants her kids to have lots of aunts and uncles. So do you have family in Idaho? (that is where I am from origanlly) but now I live in Portland

Shelle-BlokThoughts said...

My kids are the same...and it is sweet because they make their aunts and uncles feel really special!

Oh and about your poll...I hate the auto play!
