Time for another episode of Cooking with Jordan. You can view earlier episodes by clicking on these links Preview, One Dish Mexican, Grilled Chicken, Cooking(?) with Daddy, Tortellini Soup , Teriyaki Chicken, Buffalo Chicken Bites, Parmesan Chicken Pasta With Broccoli, Garbage Casserole, Cheeseburger Pie, Golden Crusted Chicken Asparagus Lasagna, Baked Rigatoni and Tuna Noodle Casserole. The whole point of the cooking lessons for J is to show her some basic easy meals, teach her how to plan a menu, learn how to follow a recipe and help her become more comfortable in the kitchen...this is not anything totally gourmet or culinary school worthy. We hope you enjoy Cooking With Jordan and try these recipes with your kids. They are totally J approved! BBQ Beef Crumble is one of those "make it fast, make the kid happy" meals. One day J was craving BBQ and mashed potatoes. I had ground beef thawed...so... BBQ Beef Crumble was born. Jordan would eat it every night if we let her. It's not really a recipe but she wanted to "present it to her audience" anyway. so...enjoy!
BBQ Beef Crumble
brown ground beef seasoned with fresh black pepper garlic salt
and parsley
cook thouroughly and drain fat (i use a really low fat beef or turkey)
REAL mashed potatoes are better, but instant is fast. You choose, we won't judge.
add BBQ sauce to browned beef
serve with your favorite veggie...J's fave veggie is broccoli
all smiles and thumbs up from the kid...that's a good thing!

I love cooking with J! My daughter likes to help in the kitchen... finally. She only started taking an interest about a year ago. Next time, I should put her in charge! She won't let me take her picture, though, if she knows it's going on my blog.
