Fruit and Nut Festival

We ventured out in the HEAT yesterday to check out a little local flavor...2 blocks of redneck goodness in a neighboring town...SUHWEET! The highlight of the festival was the 4-H area where they had a little petting zoo for the kids. Jordan was in fuzzy creature heaven. Do any of y'all have any experience with the 4-H? It seems like it is something J could really thrive in, she loooves her horseback riding lessons, it just seems right up her animal loving alley. I would love to get your opinions...if ya have one, before i see about getting her in one of their clubs. ANYWAY here are some super cute pics for you to enjoy (oh and yes her finger got munched at school on one of those little butt scooters, those should be banned).

it's a little black chickie...what up sista friend?!
DUCK!
there are her pretty eyes...and another duck!
different duck...trust me there were buckets of them
awwww a goat...trying to get cool!
suuuuuuueeeeyyyyy...it's a pig!
the highlight for ME was this funnel cake goodness....yum!

so i guess that is what this area is about...street fairs. i can handle that, people watching, all you can drink lemonade and funnel cake...hells yeah!

Oh I love street fairs....nothing better then that yummy food. Now I need to find one....craving food! With her hair done like that, J looks like you! I know, I know, that isn't supposed to be the case....but she does! I don't know much about 4H, but it seems like a good idea! If you are kind to animals, I imagine you are kind in life as well, right? They say animal cruelty is a red flag for someone who has issues....so you can rest assured that J is a normal and healthy girl since she is nothing but kind and loving to those dear creatures!

Oh man, I'd be right there with ya at the funnel cake booth. I don't mind animals, but I'm allergic to hay, so...
And they still have those butt scooter things at school? Damn, I thought for sure they'd have done away w/those finger busters by now.

Great. And now I want lemonade. (who the hell said it could be 100 in May?!)

Sounds like an awesome time: playing with little furry things, eating fair food, and watching crazies!

I've been toying with the idea of starting a 4-H group for Sadie - sewing/cooking. My neighbor does her horse stuff through 4-H and my cousins did it the whole time they were growing up. I think it's a great organization!

That funnel cake looks so good! I love street fairs too. They always have the best food.

I love all the little duckies. (from a distance. I don't touch animals.) Our friend actually has a pet duck that thinks she's a dog. It's so funny.

Once again, Jordan is beautiful! My favorite shot is her by the goat, but of course they are all great! :) Funnel Cake huh? I've heard of it, seen it, but never tried it. I guess it's about time I do! Now to find me some. . . . hmmmmmm?

Shout out to no cool story, I grew up calling them elephant ears, but that was when I lived backin the Midwest. I guess out here they are funnel cakes, how boring. I think elephant ear is a much better name. It was fun!
