Time for another episode of Cooking with Jordan. You can view earlier episodes by clicking on these links Preview, OneDishMexican, GrilledChicken, Cooking(?) with Daddy, TortelliniSoup , TeriyakiChicken and BuffaloChickenBites . The whole point of the cooking lessons for J is to show her some basic easy meals, plan a menu, learn how to follow a recipe and help her become more comfortable in the kitchen...this is not anything totally gourmet or culinary school worthy.

cooking with children is not only a great way to spend time together, but it is truly a gift to them... independence! and there is also the added benefit of they are more willing to eat something if they are invested in the process of cooking it themselves! Kudos to you for taking the time to teacher her to cook healthy meals!
Your first comment on my blog made me laugh and made my day! Yea Blog friendship coming on!
Anyhow...can I send my kids over and you can teach them how to cook? Okay I kid..but still...I like to cook but its hard to hand over the reigns...where do I gather the patience?

Ok, I don;t think I've commented on your cooking entries at all, Jordan. I wanted to tell you that It's really coll that your are doing the cooking so often. The food always looks super tasty. You will be VERY VERY glad when you are older and know what you are doing in the kitchen. As your Dad, my dad, and pretty much any man will tell you, the way to our heart is through our stomach. Kristie makes us super tasty food all the time, and its always a fun suprise to wake up and see that she's been up making breakfast on the weekend.
Keep it up Jordan, and keep the pics coming sis.
