200th Post part two!

The response to our ASK ME!! post to help us celebrate our 200th post was awesome and a little overwhelming...i was shocked that y'all asked 145 questions...CRAAAAAZY! Anyway we have been working on getting them all answered and are going to have to make it a weekly segment for a little while (i know, calm down i can already sense your utter excitement). You can get caught up by reading 200th Post part one . today we field questions from ConverseMomma, NOBODY, Pink Lemonade Liz and Jen. You might want to get a snack this is a long one.

ConverseMomma asked:

17. If you could trade lives with any blogger on web who would it be and why?
I think I appreciate some people’s lives, like certain aspects, lots of kids, special talents, etc., but I honestly don’t think I would ever trade lives with anyone. I am who I am because of the life I have lived and live now…and I am cool with that!

NOBODY asked:

18. Jordan, what is your favorite thing to drink?
“I like soda, mostly Dr. Pepper, but I am going to get braces soon so I am not drinking it too much anymore, so I can get use to it.”
19. Everyone, if you are wandering around the house and you catch yourself singing in your head---is it usually the same song? If so what?
Jordan: “True Friend” by Miley Cyrus
Paul: “Close To You” by the Carpenters
HolleeAnn: usually whatever get’s stuck in Paul’s head…he loooooves to sing or hum a song and see if it gets “stuck” on me…it’s soooo annoying.

Pink Lemonade Liz asked:

20. How and why did you start blogging?
My brother Scotty (Scott and Kristie's AWESOME Blog ) had a blog first, then my sister Meg (Aaron and Meg) got one. It started as a way to keep in better touch with family members who lived far away. Then it became a super fun way to journal and document our lives. It has also been a fun creative outlet for me and a chance to connect with people who have lives that are similar to mine.

Jen asked:

21. Do you have any brothers or sisters?
There are 5 of us Bro39 Me37 Sis 35 Bro30 Sis 26.
22. Where did you grow up?
I grew up in The Garlic Capital of the World, Gilroy CA.
23. Do you have any scars and if so, how many?
Lots of scars…none from anything super cool though.
24. Are you right or left handed?
Right…as in correctly handed…tee hee.
25. What is your earliest childhood memory?
I remember spending a lot of time playing across the street at a friends house. They had a huge weeping willow tree that we turned into a club house and spent hours in.
26. Who was your role model growing up?
I had several. But I think my Mima was the one role model in my life that was truly consistent and never disappointed me. She and my Grandpa were an awesome example of true love and happily ever after. I remember thinking that they loved each other so much. I never saw them speak unkindly to one another and I knew I wanted that in my life. It took a little while but I think I have that in Paul.
27. What is your greatest regret in life?
No regrets…I think about this a lot. I have said many times that I am the person who I am because of the life I have lived. I made a lot of really bad choices and learned some really hard life lessons but who I am today is someone I REALLY like, so how could I possibly regret the journey to who I am today? Nope, no regrets.
28. What would you consider your greatest achievement?
I think I am a really good mom. I was born to be a mom, really it is all I have ever wanted…I am still learning of course but so far I think I am doing a pretty darn good job.
29. What is your most embarrassing moment?
I mentioned one in part one and 2 new ones in the post Potty Talk
30. What is your current most favorite family tradition?
We eat dinner as a family every night. I love that time together, the conversations that happen when we are gathered as a family are priceless. We also play games every night after dinner. It’s a great time and Jordan truly loves it.
31. Do you care what others think of you?
I use to REALLY care. I would love to be able to say I don’t care at all, but I am kind of immature like that and I do care…but just a little. I don’t care enough to change who I am, just enough to be bothered when someone has a bad opinion of me, especially when they have not taken the time to get to know me.
32. What is your favorite thing to read?
I really enjoy reading biographies and autobiographies.
33. What is your most treasured possession?
My Mima gave me this ring holder when I was like 16. I had always admired it and asked her if I could have it one day. She surprised me one Christmas with it. I would be REALLY sad if something ever happened to it.
34. How do you deal with stress?
My husband says I don’t.
35. What are your pet peeves?
It bugs me when people misspell my name. H O double L double E capital A double N all smooooshed together…don’t get it twisted YO! I also don’t like when people are late or make promises to my daughter and break them.
36. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
I would be pregnant with triplets right now.
37. Name 3 things you consider yourself to be very good at.
I am a good cook, I keep a cute house and I am a good friend.
38. What is your most favorite birthday gift you ever received?
Last year my husband bought me a 2007 Dodge Durango…love it!
39. If you knew you had 3 days to live, what would you do with the time you have left?
Spend as much time with my family as I could, write letters for J to open when she has certain milestone in her life (graduation, wedding, etc) and divide my treasures among loved ones.
40. What is your favorite candy bar?
Take5…have you had one? It’s a combo of pretzel covered in peanut butter caramel and chocolate…it is salty sweet goodness.
41. What is the strangest thing you have ever eaten?
3 live crickets in Junior High School to bring up my final grade.
42. To Paul, what is the first thing that went through your head when you met HolleeAnn in person?
"Hubba Hubba. I thought she was beautiful, really kind and fun. And she smelled really good."
43. Paul, what 3 things do you love about your wife the most?
"Brain, boobs, and bum, in that order. Really, I love that she is a good wife and mom, she makes our family life really special. She is unlike any love I have ever had in my life and I am thankful. I needed a good wife and Jordan really needed a good mom, we lucked out with HolleeAnn" (i think i might cry...so sweet huh?)
44. Jordan what is the funniest joke you have ever heard?
hmmm I can’t think of any funniest ones”
45. Jordan, where is your favorite place to go to eat?
“I like HolleeAnn's and my cooking and to eat out I like Sushi”
46. Jordan what is your favorite meal to cook?
“Easy question, Mexican One Dish, it is yummy” recipe HERE
47. Jordan, do you have any pets (besides the frogs you catch out in your backyard)?
“At my Grandma’s house I have lots of pets, too many pets. Over there we have 6 dogs, 9 cats, 3 birds, a turtle and a hamster. Here at home we are talking about getting a small dog, but we are just talking about it.”
48. Paul, how did you propose to your wife?
“First she told me that she was suppose to marry me, and I was glad because I was trying to be patient waiting for her to figure that out as we remained friends while she dated other people. But I ended up proposing lamely in a restaurant with a poem I had written, and she said yes anyway.”
49. HolleeAnn where is the furthest you have ever traveled?
Hawaii…I kind of wish I had traveled more in my life…so it’s on my list of things to do in the future.
50. To All: where is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Jordan: Maui Hawaii, "i like snorkeling and scuba diving and how warm the ocean is"
Paul: Hawaii "the people, the relaxation, the food."
HolleeAnn: Hawaii and Disneyland "Hawaii for the relaxed easy environment and Disneyland for the fast paced, magical excitement"

wow again if y'all made it this far let me know...that was a lot to read.

OK, first of all...you don't want to be pregnant with triplets. You may want to be the mommy of triplets ('cause that's loads of fun!) but being pregnant with triplets is honestly a bit miserable. Oh, and terrifying because many triplet pregnancies do not end well. Have I told you I was on hospital bedrest for 2 months before delivery? And on bedrest at home for a couple of months before that. Yeah...ugh. ;-)

You're from Gilroy?!?!?! I have seen the Food Network's special on the Gilroy Garlic Festival so many times. Cool!!! Have you ever eaten any of that garlic ice cream they show at the festival? Now I LOVE garlic, but I cannot imagine eating it in ice cream. Gross!

In other news...I have a cool frog picture I need to get around to sending you soon.
