Dancing Queen Take 2

remember this Dancing Queen post? go take a look i will wait. cute huh? well Jordan had her second Cotillion at the church and this time it had a 50's theme...so fun (and another chance to wear the poodle skirt before it gets too small or falls apart)! J's friend's Cheyenne and Sammy came over for dinner (actually Cheyenne was already here, more on that later) and to get ready together for the cotillion. 3 giggly goofy girlies to feed and get out the door on time...craaaaaaazy.
goofy 50's Girlies...Jordan, Sammy & Cheyenne
ready to get their dance on!!
is he checking her out?
a break, ya know...to wipe the sweat off their hands
"Nooooo, not the Mamarazzi!!"
Sammy, Jordan and Cheyenne
TOTALLY danced out!!
OK one last pic. So. Tired.
and 2 short videos...first this REALLY funny one of J looking slightly horrified that i am taking pictures. i keep wondering when she is going to tell me to stop, but the first thing out of her mouth as soon as we all got in the car was, "can we look at the pictures you took? pass back the camera." so i am thinking i am not gonna hear "leave me alone" or "you are ruining my life" anytime soon....COOL!!
video

this video is of her doing the ChaCha
....and umm it's pretty good, she gets her moves
from me...it is so obvious!

That looks like so much fun. I would have loved to learn some of those "old" dances, but hubby is not a dancer. I wonder if there are any of these dances around here? I'm guessing MA would not be interested. Looks like Jordan had a lot of fun.

That boy in the green shirt is a cutie. Hey, has J ever had a crush or a boy she really likes? Baylee turns 11 today and she has never seemed interested in boys. I don't know what I'm going to do when she does.

Oh- that is too cool! I love that she has creative and fun outlets....much better then leaving it to their own imaginations (who knows what kind of trouble kids can get in then!). Thanks for sharing

How fun!!! I love that Jordan still loves having her picture taken. It makes being a mom that much easier, huh?! She's going to LOVE having all these memories documented some day. Oh, and I emailed you last night...the email on your contact page, I think? Not sure if that's a current email of yours, but just wanted to give you a head's up.

I really wish that our Stake would do something like this for our 12-13 year olds! So fun! They are not invited to our Youth Conference next weekend, and it would have been the perfect time to do this!

Yay! so much fun. Jordan has a way more interesting life than me. She cooks more than me too! :) I am glad to see the boys dancing. I remember my dances with all the boys just standing around in big boring clumps.

How cute! Looks like they had a good time. Maybe Jordan wanted to look at your pictures because there was a boy she liked?!?

Wow Hollee Ann, this is SO cute. Talk about major flash backs! There is nothing quite like a mormon dance at 12 years old!

Regarding your comment...yeah that project is big. I don't think I have posted too much about it in the past, just a few comments here and there. We did redo our septic system in preparation for this last summer, so I am sure I mentioned it there.

Anyway, no the kitchen still isn't done. We had a major delay on the window, and you can't do the counter without the window in, and you can't do the cabinets without the counter in, and you can't do the floor without the cabinets done and so on. The window should be here this week so hopefully the kitchen will start moving along quickly!

As for what the addition actually is...a family room, laundry room, extension to our bedroom and bathroom, and an office/bedroom. It is 800 sq ft, that we are adding to our current 1300 sq ft, so we are VERY excited. Okay I think I answered all your questions, as well as I may have just written the longest comment ever, yeah me!

Oh wait, the comment about the clothes! I can only hope I still get to pick out their clothes when they are 12, you are SO lucky! Jordan seems like such an awesome girl...I'm going to have to meet her one of these days!

I am LDS also, I came over from Tidbits of Tippets (Jen). What a supercute blog you have! Love the photos of the 50's theme dance. The poodle skirt is adorable! :D Come visit me too if you like...

That was cute! I love how you show you love and admiration for Jordan!

Excellent skirt! I have that exact same one - my dept hosted a 50s breakfast at work so we all got together and made skirts.

She looks like she had fun - and found a cute boy to dance with :-)

No matter when/how she asks you to stop, she will always actually really want you there taking the pictures . . . she'll so love them when she's all grown up!

So outgoing, I love that she is not a wall flower! Way to go look at the self confidence you've instilled. I also loved that she asked for the camera when you got in the car, that is too funny.

I can't believe how cute she looks. Cute picture of all three girls getting ready for the cotillion. I love how you can tell she spots you taking a picture of her in the first video. That is great she doesn't tell you to stop. She really is lucky you are doing all this. She really has that cha-cha thing down. Really. I'm lovin' looking at these pictures. Thanks Mamarazzi!
