Horses...and more horses.

Jordan and Emma had their first riding lesson together and had a blast...here are some pictures.

Jordan is really getting better at leading Buck and he is really good at following her directions. its amazing to us to see how much control she has over such a large animal...she is fearless. Yesterday she "trotted" Buck for the first time and was VERY excited. Linda, the lady who owns and runs the ranch, tells us Jordan is getting better and better with every lesson and will soon be able to join group lessons (right now she is in small groups of 3 or less)...this is really good news becasue Linda has summer camp sessions that go all day long and Jordan will be able to join when she is off track if she continues to progress and become more independant.

Emma is wearing a face mask because she recently found out she is allergic to all animals and the horses are shedding their winter coats right now.

San Francisco

We had a super fun adventure on Presidents day this year...we went to San Francisco. Jordan has been asking to take the BART somewhere ever since her Aunt Monica came to visit in October and took the BART to Pleasanton from SF airport. SOOOO we invited Jordan's best friend Emma along, jumped on board the BART and met Pauls folks at Embarcadaro in SF.

Here are the girls really excited to take the BART together...Emma had been on BART before but was a baby and didn't remember, but this was Jordan's first ride. I don't know what it is about kids and public transportation but these two were acting like it was a fisrt class flight to Hawaii instead of a smelly BART...

The girls jumped on the Cable Car for a quick picture...

Emma had never had Dim Sum before so Pauls folks treated us all to our favorite Dim Sum place; Yank Sing at the Rincon Center in SF. It was delicious and even Emma who is a VERY picky eater found a few things she enjoyed.

The girls wanted to ride the Carousel across from the Metreon so of course i had to snap a few shots of these two cuties...and one of me too...tee hee!

There was a really funky sculpture/statue/art thingy (what would you call it?) that the girls loved making funny poses and once again i HAD to take pictures of it...and paul and i took the opportunity to have someone take a family picture to prove we actually go on these outings.

So we went to a REALLY cool place called the Zeum across the street from the Meteron. They have so many amazing things for kids there...the girls made a music video, wrote a skit and had all of us (including Granma and Grandpa) act in it as it was filmed and burned on DVD (oh joy), the took pictures of themselves and goofed off in photoshop to make them really silly looking, there was soooooo much to do there we didn't have time to do it all...but we had a great time!!

While the girls were busy making their music video Grandpa was busy in the costume area making his own fun...

Every inch of this place is creative even the stair well was awesome!

The girls had fun with the lego wall...

We did a lot of walking and saw a lot along the way...

Later that night we had dinner at Chevy's....i think delirium was setting in and the girls got goofier and goofier...

They finally crashed in the BART ride home...but it just rejuvinated them and they sang the whole drive home from the BART station...yay!

It was a really fun day and we are looking forward to our next trip to San Francisco and the Zeum...thanks Grandma and Grandpa for a really great time!

Sunny Day in Monterey!!

We enjoyed a really fun day in Monterey with cousins and Aunts and Uncles and Grandma and Grandpa...sooooo sunny and beautiful, it was PERFECT!! It was so much fun playing at Dennis the Menace Park. I remember going there as a kid when we would go to see "No No Grandma Lawrence" when she lived in the "No No House in Carmel"...the park was where we escaped and were able to touch and play with anything we wanted..lol..good times, good times!! Anyway it was fun to take Jordan here and relive a few memories while making new ones...and it was even cooler that ALL of my siblings were there...just like back in the day huh guys?

Jordan always thinks she wants Clam Chowder in a bread bowl, we always order it and she never finishes it...but she gave it a good go and THIS time i was smart and i didn't order one for myself..it was the perfect ammount of food for 2~
