Happiness is having BFF Sleep Overs...

Some of my favorite memories as a preteen was when i had my friends sleep over. OH the giggles and secrets shared!! i REALLY want Jordan to have those memories too and she has a wonderful little girlfriend named Emma (who has been featured many times in this blog) to hare those times with. Emma has become part of our little family and we love having her over anytime her family will share her with us. She also takes a little pressure off of us and Jordan's constant nagging about giving her a sibling or 2 or 3...but we are still working on that too. ( i know too much information right?) ANYWAY...here are some pics from the girls latest sleep over.

they started the evening by giving each other lovely make overs...they used very little make up and actually did a nice tasteful job on each other.

THEN...came the hair...bobby pins everywhere, these hair styles were works of art. Jordan used 2 hair pieces on Emma's hairdo.

The girls enjoyed a little chocolate fondue! As you can see our dining room is coming along at a snails pace, consider this picture proof that demolition has begun, and well that's about it. Paul has promised to, at the very least, have the floor totally out so i can have my kitchen table back by Jordan's Slumber Party Sept. 21....stay tuned.

The girls had a great time feeding the ducks, behind the fruit barn, Saturday morning. What a beautiful day it was, and LOOK at those adorable matchy poo poo BFF outfits..."double trouble" is right!!

holleeann you should rip that floor out during the week yourself, and then when paul comes home on the weekend it will be ready for you guys to put the new one in. Trust me...ripping out an old floor can be very liberating. I don't think aaron and i fought for a whole week after i tore nasty carpet out of my kitchen.

Meg, while i am sure i COULD do the floor, i really don't want to take that project out of Paul's hands. he REALLY wants to do it...i don't want to take that "liberating" feeling from him. let him be manly and rip out the floor. i can stand it for a little while longer...as long as i can whine about it along the way.

I agree with you HolleeAnn why emasculate your husband, let him do it. Come up with a reasonable date for it to be finished and be patient. I think people also need to remember that Paul is only home like 2 days a week and not every evening.

Now as for this sleepover. You are probably the coolest mom I know. You were born for this stuff. Seriously, Jordan is a lucky little girl and on that note Emma's family is lucky she has a fun and safe place to make memories. It is nice that Jordan has a close girlfriend to grow up with and as seen in previous posts Emma seems like a perfect match.

Paul, as Russell Peters would say, "Be a man!" You can't have your lady living in squalor like that! Also, Hollee, please make Jordan throw away that double trouble shirt as she enters puberty. I was once a 14 yr old boy... just trust me.
